The Fallen

Chapter One

Victoria's P.O.V

I woke up with a major head ache and my ears ringed. My eyes fluttered open, the car was upside down. Charlotte was still in the drivers seat, her chest still moving back and forth. She was still breathing. I unbuckled my seat belt and crawled out from the broken window. My hands and arms were puncturrd by tiny shards of glass. I stumped over to the drivers side and shook Charlotte, she woke up slowly.
"W-what happened?" She spoke quietly.
"There was a man in the road, you swerved to avoid him, but the road was to icy and we crashed."
I helped her out of the car and we sat there for a moment in disbelief. I reached for my cell phone, of course there was no service out here.

"Dammit! We might have to walk to the nearest town, unless someone drives by" I realized that both of us weren't in any condition to be walking, but we had to.

"What's that? Up there?" Charlotte pointed up the road towards a couple figures. It was hard to make out exactly what they were through the darkness.
