So I may or may not have accidentally deleted the second Chapter. I swear I have never felt heartbreak like that- like my stomach honestly dropped and I just stared at my computer for a solid 5 minutes, contemplating my life. But anyways, here's the new and improved Chapter Two, enjoy.
-Em. :)
After pushing her way through numerous crowds and at least half a dozen eye rolls later, Cassia arrived at the girls bathroom. With seven hours of the journey still to go, she was unsurprised to find it empty. She slammed the door closed, throwing her rucksack to floor.
Of course, she had no intention of actually getting changed, there was no way in hell she was going to risk creasing her skirt.
God, she hated this fucking train. A tear of frustration found it's way down her cheek and Cassia hastily wiped it away.
"Are you ok?" Came a voice from the door, causing Cassia to whip her head round, startling both herself and the girl in the doorway.
"I'm fine," Cassia said, picking her bag up from the floor and moving towards the door.
"Yeah...no offence," the girl said, "but you don't look ok." Cassia's hand flew to her face, searching to correct any imperfections that may grace her features. The girl leaned in. "Just kidding," she whispered. Cassia huffed in response, looping her arm through the loose strap of her bag. "But seriously, do you wanna talk about it?" The girl was slightly taller than Cassia, with mid-length hair that was dyed a pale lilac and soft light brown, almost golden, eyes- a nice contrast from the usual harsh gaze of her brother and his friends.
"There's nothing to talk about," Cassia huffed again. "Like I said, I'm fine."
"Well, can I at least walk you to your carriage?" She held the door open. "My friends are pissing me off and I could use the walk."
'Maybe the company of another girl wouldn't be awful', Cassia thought. "Fine." Cassia walked out the door, the lilac haired girl following close behind.
The two walked in silence, occasionally glancing and half-smiling at one another. Finally, the quiet became so insufferable that the girl beside her stopped dead in her tracks. "I'm Eda, by the way." (e-da not ed-a) She said, holing out her hand, which Cassia took.
"Cassia."
"You're a sixth year, right?" Eda asked, Cassia nodded, "Ravenclaw?"
"Yep," Cassia sighed, "Much to my families disappointment." She was the only one out of all her cousins, aunts, uncles and even her parents, who had not been sorted into Gryffindor.
"Well, I'm a Slytherin," she chuckled, "so I can't judge." Cassia smiled. "No, but honestly I love it." Eda smiled. "I remember, this one time, Leo, he's a seventh year, snuck a whole bottle of fire whiskey into his trunk," she laughed at the memory, "and we all stayed up until like 4 playing spell or shot." (yes i did just completely make that up: basically if you mess up a spell, you have to take a shot.) Cassia let out a quiet chuckle. "Sucks for him though, he had a transfiguration test with the Headmistress the next morning and I'm pretty sure he was still drunk."
Both girls were laughing now, although Eda considerably louder than Cassia. "You should totally come down one day, it's really cool." The lilac haired girl said, turning to face Cassia.
