Meeting the Addams - Part 1

A/N: This story is a fan-made pilot for "The Addams Family" 1992 animated series.

N.J's POV...

My name is Norman Normanmeyer Junior or N.J, for short, I'm 10 and this is my first day living on Happydale Heights. Actually I moved here with my parents because my dad wants to open a underwear industry here, I know that it's a little bit weird that my parents are obsessed with underwear, but on our new neighbours eyes we're completely normal. After we arrived at Happydale, we needed to meet our real estate agent to intruduce us to our new house.

I never wanted to live in a house that was similar to the neighbours's houses, but she wanted to show us the most normal houses, until I saw the house that catched my attention.

"What a cool house" I said, fascinated with the house.

But my parents and the real estate agent didn't thought of the same way as me, because they saw it as a Haunted house with a touch of fright.

"The people that live in that mansion are a little... you know... strange" said the real estate agent, to my parents.

"Who are they?" asked my mother.

"The Addams are more anti social and nearly all the neighbours left Happydale after meeting them, some 3 years while others left 2 and a half months" answered the agent.

"Well, if they are going to be our neighbours, we need to avoid any type of contact with them" said my dad, agreeing with the agent.

"Yes, and Normie tomorrow is our welcome party to the neighbourhood so invite all neighbours, except The Addams, all right?" said my mother, as she gave the invitations to the welcome party.

I didn't agreed on what the agent said, before we entered in the new house I couldn't take my eyes off the Addams mansion, but at night in my room. I saw a boy and a girl staring at the stop sign, but like mom doesn't want me sleeping late, closed the windowsills and slept.

Next Morning...

It was another day in our home sweet home, I was still thinking about that boy and girl of yesterday. Today was my first day of school and I had to deliever the invitatioins of the party. My lunchbox was filled with bread, apples and orange juice, the bus had arrived, so I left home and entered inside of the bus; And 2 seconds later, I saw them, looking distant and it look like that they were looking at the mansion and I realized that they were The Addams Family that the real estate agent was talking about. I got up from my sit and sit next to them.

End of POV...

N.J wanted to meet his new neighbours, and sit next to them.

"Hi, I'm N.J, what are your names?" asked N.J, with joy.

"Mine is Wednesday and my brother's Pugsley" said Wednesday, with a monotone voice.

"I... I... I saw you looking at that stop sign yesterday and..." said N.J, shyly.

"And what?" asked Pugsley, with a smile.

"I don't know the rest because my mother said to me to deliever invitations to our welcome party today" answered N.J "But I think that no one will come to the party"

"We can, our family likes parties, give us the invitations and we'll appear at noon" said Wednesday, looking at the invitations.

So N.J gave the invitations to his new friends, as Wednesday gave him the Pandora's box, as they had just met in a weird circustance.

After school...

"So your family love savage animals?" asked N.J, curious.

"Yes and we have a aligator, piranas, octopus, lion, crows and voltures" said Wednesday "And your family loves what?"

"That's a... little... embarrasing... well, my parents are... obsessed with underwear... and my dad's company opened yesterday and I didn't go because, if you were in the opening ceremony I was crying for shyness" explained N.J, with his face blushing red.

"Good, we don't mind being friends with parents like yours, as didn't happened with our past neighbours" said Wednesday "You want to meet our family"

"Your... your family? They are nice?" asked the new neighbour.

Meanwhile, in the family's mansion...

"Gomez, you think that the children are fine?" asked Morticia, serene.

"They are fine, cara mia" said Gomez, looking at the window "The children arrived now"

Wednesday and Pugsley opened the mansion's door and brought N.J with them to introduce him to their family.

"Mother, Father, we're home" said Wednesday.

Gomez and Morticia went to their children and hugged them, before noticing their new neighbour's son.

"Who's that?" asked Gomez, with a grin.

"This is N.J, our new neighbours's son" said Pugsley "And his family is going to make a welcome party today, so this could be a chance to meet the new neighbours"

"Well, since the new neighbours are nice unlike the other neighbours, we accept your invitation" said Gomez "And what time is the party?"

"It's at noon, I think that my parents will like meeting you" said N.J, before looking at the clock "I need to go home now, but appear at the party any minute if you don't mind" exited the mansion, with a smile on his face.

2 Hours later...

"You think that our new neighbours will like our party ?" asked Normina.

"If they aren't those creepy Addams that the real estate agent told us" said Norman, agreeing with his wife.

"Mom, dad, I sent the invitations and you'll happy knowing the new neighbours" said N.J "And one thing, they are the neighbours that you told me to not invite them"

"You invited them!!" said N.J's parents, glaring at their son.

And when they were going to cancel the party, heard the doorbell ring in a funeral tune.
