"Hurry up, your gonna miss the bus!" My mammy yells at me as I put on my left shoe and then the right. I head out the door and practicaly run to the bus stop. Today we have a substitute teacher for Mrs.Bowen. that meant no math for me today. I got on the bus and sat with my best friend, Teresa. " So are you excited?" She asks. In a few weeks I have my 11th grade band assessment. Which I will be playing for 12th grade as well. I play trumpet and Teresa plays flute. We just found out yesterday, and that's all she can talk about. "Well of course!" I replied sarcastically. " You don't have to be mean about it. I'm just excited." And she was. " I know, sorry I just don't feel good today." And I didn't. "Well you don't have to be a butt about it." I didn't feel like arguing with her today. We got off the bus and headed for the cafeteria. Today was Thursday which meant my dad would be in there. My dad is 11th grades history teacher. He's is really funny and a total nerd. I grabbed a muffin and sat down next to him. "Hey brofesser." That was my nickname for him. " Hey brotato chip." That was his nickname for me. I didn't live with my dad for legal reasons, so I try to spend as much time with him as possible at school.

The bell rang and it was time for first period. I had language arts.
We are reading a book called A Long Walk To Water. Its all about history. Its pretty interesting, only because I love history. Half the class just falls asleep. Next I had band class. I'm first chair in band class. Which for you non-band geeks, that means I'm the lead trumpet player. 3rd period I had language arts again. Not much happens in my life. Finally 4th period, history! Mr. Crouch is the best teacher you could ask for. I'm not just saying that because he's my dad. When he teaches its like he's telling a story, even the low class students want to pay attention. This unit we are learning about Alexander The Great. Its amazing.
We had lunch, an nothing really happend the rest of the day. Until 7th and 8th period, math.
I walked in the room and I couldn't believe my eyes.
