Mint chocolate chip.
My favourite ice cream flavour, it hasn't changed ever since I moved to this small creepy town;
Wethersfield.
Its quite small, but the woods that lie just across the street I live on are huge.
You could probably get lost in there for days, weeks even!
I'm 20, I live with my older brother Chase (23), and younger brother Chad (15). (Yeah, our parents kinda went with a 'ch' theme....)
Chase is really protective of Chad and I, ever since our parents died.
We had to move to this stupid town cuz Chase said it was 'safer', safer my a$$! Everyone here literally walks around in these black trench coats.
I know I'm being childish about it, but i left all of my friends in that town!
"Here, you go miss." The cashier knocks me out of my trance.
"Thankyou." I mumble, taking the cup of ice cream and sitting down at a nearby booth.
I sit next to the window, watching people walk by.
I feel two people stop from my peripheral vision, I turn to the window and see two men, one in a black coat and the other in a grey hoodie, with the hood down but i couldn't quite see his face cuz his back was facing me.
I could see that he had a broad and muscular physique, he's quite talk as well about 6'3 and the guy facing me is quite good looking, with dirty blond hair and blue eyes.
He's grinning at the hoodie guy, coat guy turns and catches me looking which makes his grin even wider, he winks at me.
I blush and quickly look away.
I turn to look at them again and now the blond guys face is serious, the hoodie guy hands him a 20 dollar bill.
They both nod at each other and the hoodie guy walks away.
The blond guy walks into the ice cream shop and to my surprise takes a seat in front of me.
"May I help you?" I ask him, looking up from my ice cream.
"I should be asking you that since your new." He tells me with a grin.
"How do you know?" I ask accusingly
"It's a small town. Colton" he extends a hand, and I hesitantly take it.
"Charlotte."
"Well Charlotte, may I do the honour of showing you around town." He asks
"Well......"
"I promise, I will bring you back unharmed to where ever you like." He says placing a hand on his heart.
"Well, ok." I say.
"Alright! Come with me," He grins.
He leads me outside the ice cream shop.
"So, where to first?" I ask
"How about, the train station." He suggests
"Sure!"

After a tour of the small town Colton takes me back to the ice cream shop.
"There's one last place I would like to take you, Charlotte." He tells me
"Umm, where is that?"
"The woods."
"What?!"
"Why, what's wrong with the woods?" He asks with an amused face.
"The woods- the woods are.........dangerous." I finish off
"It's not trust me, If anything happens I'll be there, I promise."
"Ok" I agree after a while of hesitation.
We walk across the road and step into the woods, darkness engulfing us from all sides.

I usually have my chapters more than 1000 words long, but this chapter was just the first one and I wanted to make it short it was like 560 something words, I will write how many words each chapter is and I will put up a pic of Charlottes outfit on every chapter so...........yeah.
