The Charwolf Mystery

Chapter 1: The Beginning.

Another normal day in Dragon Valley. The sun is shining, skies are blue and everything is calm. All is fine, or so it seems. Isabelle Jones sits on her garden bench, just like any other summer day and sighs a sigh of contentment. Warm weather makes her sleepy and she starts to doze off.
Something jumps on her lap and she wakes up with a start. But It's only her cat, Sable, who likes to sleep on Isabelle's lap. A dark shadow passes over the ground, but she has fallen asleep again, into a soft slumber, broken only, by the call of nature.

Everyone was stunned! But it was still a mystery. Even Sherlock, the great detective himself was searching for answers. A large winged beast had been sighted on a number of occasions and was all over the news. A man had been reported missing, after he went on a walk with his intern at 10pm, to the local park. The intern was found passed out from exhaustion at around 08:20, in a field, by a couple on a walk of the country. The couple immediately called 911 and the woman was sent to hospital for a checkup. The intern woke in the hospital about four hours later, babbling about a 'dragon' like creature. The doctors said she had a bad case of shock and would have to stay in the hospital for a farther 24 hours before she could  go home.

A week after the incident a 14 year old named Abigail Wood went missing after she went to the park with her friends, Cia James and Cerys Richards. They said they saw nothing out of the ordinary and Abigail seemed fine at the time. 'Abi' went off to pick blackberries, and after 20 minutes the other girls went to find her. When they had searched for a while they eventually called the police. There had been a few search parties sent out, but even they couldn't find the missing girl or any clues to her whereabouts. The only evidence they found where two deep ruts in the ground, around a metre apart, but thought nothing of it.
Then, another discovery was made, around a week after the disappearance of the girl. A man was found dead in a local park, covered in blood. His head was missing, had been cut clean off and he was in a very painful position. A position that usually occurs when someone jumps off a tall building, but, as there were no buildings around, the police guessed he had been flown into the air and dropped from a great height. This still did not explain why his head was missing until the forensic doctor showed up to examine the body. The doctor concluded that his head had been cut off by some sort of knife but could not identify the blade, as there were no defining blade grooves with which to identify it.

She licked her tail blade clean savouring the flavour. "Delicious!"

Suddenly, it wasn't just in England anymore. Soon the whole of the British Isle's was suffering. It couldn't have been merely coincidence that most areas were suffering
