It was the way it was. Always. They were friends, ironically, best friends! Prevailing thing was that, both were working on their lives, they had things that had to be done. There was a distantly seen deadline to those. They weree getting educated. They were getting better. Better than others? Atlest better than the yesterdays version of themselves. Life just seemed as a daily routinical quest. They weren't living the day, they were just struggling enough to make it through the day. Same was the condition with everyone else, the only diffrence was that the others were better at faking smiles and busy in making their not-so-happening routine to look like a happening one. So there she was. Just another person on the earth, but not just another girl to him. She was not the best, but he couldn't figure out why noone impressed him like her. She was peaceful, distressed in her ownself, happy at times and was always on the mission of praying and making her imaginatively visualised life turn into a real one. She had her own plans, just like all teenage girls have, but, she had things that held her back. She always acted as if there is nothing that worries her, but yes. She had those strings of past, string of tiring present, and a 'is it ever also gonna happen?' future. Days were passing, clocks were ticking, seasons changing, pressure increasing. All she needed was tge relaxation which she found nowhere but in her siblings from different mothers. So was he. Kind of the same. But more of hopeful. Hopes were all he had left to hold on. The thing that differed in them was, she found happiness frm where shes always been getting it, and he foound it in her. Details. Everything about her was a new discovery for him. While he was just another 'good guy' for her, she was the defination of ideal for him.
The more he got to know her;the deeper did he fall. Little did he know was, even if they say ' always expect the unexpected', the reality stood ' never hope for the unexpected'. Beacuse wat is unexpected is just wat we fail to expect cz its next to impossible. Each time they talked, she felt relieved, she finally had someone to tell everything that she couldn't to others. Everytime they talked, he felt contented, contentment of Finally having someone to whom he mattered. Days went on passing. Life kept on happening. They had their own roller coeaster ride of emotions and inituations. But at the end of the ride, all they realized was, they wanted each other. She wanted a friend, he needed a companion. He knew wat she needed , so he became wat she wanted. Friends they were. Feeling exceeded limits. Limits broke, so did his patience. He started realising that all the time he had played around with others, this is not just like all the other times. This was way beyond their understanding. He wanted to express but never reveal. He Finally did. Told her that he had fallen. Fallen fr someone. She was eager, she was excited. But she was unaware. 'DO I KNOW HER?' came her question, 'noone knows her better' he said to himself, but never to her.
It went on getting better, she felt lighter after every time they talke but the conversation used to become his 'highlight' of the day. She was not just an ambitous student, but also a poetic device. She inspired him, not only inspired him, but became his subject. Subject of life? Haha, maybe subject of writings.
Well her story? She was a 'heart- broken - self sympatized girl', satirically, she was too doped on love at a time. First love they say! Bullshit he used to think. She used to tell him about how she missed her so called first love when he always was confused about, how can u miss someone when you haven't even met them in person. Like when you even haven't had your good times with them? What do you miss?
Eventually she made him realise. He Finally had to swallow that u can miss people even on a small conversation youve had, cause time doesn't matter, anything that does is the connection. But he never understood that untill he really suffered it himself.
KARMA PAYS? but how? He never was so desperate for someone else. Never did he tell people that he loved them and then later changed his mind. No regrets he had about all that happened. The only apparent question was? He was there when she was broken, she knew how it felt to be played after changing minds. She had staryed hating him (as in her 'first love') for he just used her to fill the voids that he needed. She used to hate him cause he never actually loved her but she did to him. Through all her heart. She kept wondering how could people do this to anyone, like telling them they loved someone and then when they realise that its maybe embarassing or maybe too stupid or too 'not nice' to have them, tell them that it was some mistake nd they really never meant it. Pheww, whatever, thats how human minds work.
In the end, we want what we want.but her. Her who defined ideality for him, was actually someone to lean on. Never was their relationship taken fr granted by them. Little did she know was, maybe he was falling for her. She loved these conversations and their talks, while his respect for her went on increasing when he actually realised that she cared. Yes, she did! And her caressing was overwhelming to him. She made him feel special, maybe unintentionally, but yes. She did.
The only thing up on their mind was, 'BABY STICK TIGHT! EVENTUALLY, EVERYTHING' LL BE ALRIGHT'. Praying and hoping, each new day, their bond strenghtened and so did they.
They had much more to conquer, much more to see, much more to live! But the only thing that seemed enough at the moment was their connection. And there were yet more pages, more volumes, more sets to be filled in their book of friendship.
