I get home and change out of my soccer practice clothes and take a quick shower. Trying to forget about the little pain in my knee.

My parents aren't home since their at work, so I change into grey Nike sweatpants and a black sports bra.

As I walk downstairs to the kitchen, I begin to think about what Isa told me.

She's telling me that Rick had a gun and that he was trying to hurt someone, specifically me, but why wouldn't he just do it?

It's crazy. I shake my head to release the thought and grab a bowl and pancake mix for lunch.

I turn on the small Tv in the kitchen and furrow my eyebrows as the news anchor starts to speak.

"Today in Dallas, Texas, a high school field house was being shot at from the inside. Thankfully, only three people were in the field house at that time and two of them came out just in time. The other victim was shot in the arm and left by the gunner. We still don't have names, but stay tuned for more,"

I grab the remote controller and turn off the tv, slamming the remote on the wooden floors with so much force, it echoes around the house.

I feel my arms shake as I hold myself up on the counter.

So, Harry and I were in there, with someone else in the building who did get shot.

I pick up my phone to dial Isa's number but the doorbell rings. I limp towards the door and open it without thinking and regretting it once I do.

"Hey,"

"Hey,"

"What?" I ask, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Can I come in?" Harry asks, his arms crossed.

"I was about too-"

But he cuts me off, which startles me.

"Can I come in?" He asks again.

I purse my lips into a thin line and swing the door open for him but walk back towards the kitchen without waiting for him.

I hear him close the door and follow behind me.

I've already grabbed the pancake bowl when he turns the corner into the kitchen.

"What's your problem, huh?" He asks, his eyes focused on me.

I slam the bowl on the counter with all the force I have,"Nothing, what's yours?"

"Really?" He asks dryly, "because ever since you talked with Mia, you've said about three sentences to my face,"

"Maybe because you said you wished we'd never met?! Just a guess," I growl, grabbing the bowl and putting it in the refrigerator, knowing I wouldn't finish this anytime soon.

From the corner of my eye I see Harry close his eyes and deeply sigh.

"I didn't mean to say that...," he whispers.

"Ohh, yeah, sure. I forgive you. Want to go get some tea down the block?" I sarcastically answer, staring at him and then grabbing the kitchen cloth and wiping down the mess on the counter.

"Mack, people say the wrong things when their mad," he pleads.

"And why the hell were you mad? Because I wanted to talk to Mia who knows much more than you do about what Rick did? But remember you wished you'd never known me so you wouldn't have to deal with Rick, right?" I scoff, slowly remembering the words Harry told me that night.

"MACK!" He yells, making my eyes go wide, but I don't show fear. I won't back down from this. Not like the lasts time I've just given myself up to him no matter what.
