Most villains actually know they have done at least some outrightly wrong things. A bit of deceit mixed in with some playful mischief and just a dash of healthy murder on the side. And they do own it! That's what they were meant to be and darling, they sure do know that! But I, I'm NOT a villain!
I AM CRUELLA; That's what I am. Fur, spots, black leather! That's who I am. Not some maniacal villain hopelessly yearning for revenge. Oh please! I don't have time for that when the world of high couture is at my fingertips. Well, actually at my scarlet hemmed gloves.
Aaaahhh those scarlet gloves. Just thinking about it takes me back to the summer of 1945, a truly magical time.
Just imagine decadence. Sheer decadence, to the point where a not so with the times fellow could drown in it. Fashion at the time was much, much, different from the sheer garbage of today. 1940s ladies' fashion was about creating an hourglass silhouette with masculine details: padded shoulders nipped in high waist tops and A-line skirts that came down to the knee.Such a classic.... But I, on the other hand, brought the world into a more high class, svelte, figure-hugging elegance with the juxtaposition of more bold, patterns, and a daring color palette.
And that's it. That's all I wanted. Maybe I tried to achieve it in a more devious way than people expect but what do you f***ing expect, my name is an actual literary allusion for "cruel devil". This was my destiny, right?
Well, there was a time that didn't seem so. I was born the last of a prosperous and notorious family, (of which I shall name no names), married an actual furrier and lived "happily" ever after, with him always niftily under my heel and that's how I liked it. Well, how I wished I liked it.
