High school goals

Chapter 1: first day

Beep beep beep!my alarm is going off. I manage to open my eyes and look at my phone, it's 6:01. I then remember that's it's the first day of high school the place I've wanted to go to all my life. I get up and walk to my on suite bathroom and have a shower. Once I get out of the shower I see that it's 6:39. "What I was in there for half and hour!?" I exclaimed

I go to my closet go get my outfit I chose the night before. It's was a baby pink cropped top with spaghetti straps, high waisted white jeans with my light pink converse and a small heart necklace

I walked over to my vanity and wondered what make up I should put on, I then decided to do a natural look. I then took my hair out of its messy bun from last night and curled it with my curler. When I finished I looked at my phone and it was 7:13.

I grabbed my bag, phone, keys and purse then went downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning mom! What's for breakfast?" I questioned

" We are having pancakes with butter or syrup." She answered

"Ooo! Delicious"I said licking my lips.

"If you want the pancakes u have to get them before me tulips" he said ruffling my hair

That was my older brother he was only 2 years older than me but he has always called me tulips instead of tayla I didn't mind though.

"Oh really" I said running to the table

"Watch out!" He said before grabbing me by the legs and carrying me solider style.

"Ahhh help mom!" I screamed

"Put her down now Tommy before you have no pancakes!" She said playfully

"What no I'll put her down" he said quickly putting me down

I looked down at my phone to see 10 messages from Bella my bestfriend.we have been bestfriends since 2nd grade. And here we are now going into high school!

Bells: Hey Tay
Bells: what are u wearing
Bells: Curl ur hair so e can be twinning
Bells: Tay
Bells: hello Tay
Bells: tayla
Bells: tay
Bells: hellooooooo
Bells: r u there
Bells: ?????

I quickly answer her messages

Me: yh my hair is curled meet me at Starbucks in 15 😘

Bells: k c u there 😘

I look the time it's 7:47 I grab my last pancake and stuff if in my mouth.

"Bye! Love you see you after school tell Tiff I said bye." I shouted

Tiffany -I call her tiff- is my younger sister, she's 8 we spend loads of time together I love her to bits.

I jump in my car and start to drive to Starbucks and I get there before Bella because I drove and she doesn't drive yet.

I ordered my lattè and sat at a table and waited for Bella.

"Hey bells you excited for the first day?" I asked

"Hey Tay and yh I'm super excited, can't wait!"

Bella got her drink and I drove us to school it was 8:24 we had 20 mins till lessons started so me and Bella stayed inside my car.

We heard the bell ring so we went to the gym to get our schedules. Bella and I wanted to sit next to cute boys hoping that we'll end up talking. That didn't happen so we just ended up sitting right at the back.

"Right okay hello students, welcome to Oakland high. I hope everyone is excited to be here!" The principle told us.

"Anyone with the surname beginning with A-M line up on the left side of the gym and anyone with the surname beginning with N-Z line up on the right"

At that a crowd of people flooded onto the gym floor me and Bella were two of those people. Lucky for me and Bella we both have surnames from A-M so we got to stand next to eachother

The queue was actually quite long so we were waiting for about 30 mins. I was first to get my schedule them Bella we agreed to show each other what lessons we got once we left the line and were sitting down again.

"so who's gonna go first?" Bella questioned me
