Quarterback (Camren) [ON HOLD]

Chapter 1

Laurens POV

I was walking the halls of Miami High when i saw the "perfect couple" Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes making out. I walked close to them, pulling on the collar of Shawns Shirt. "What the-Wow, it was you. That Jagureai kid" Shawn said in his high pitched voice, butchering my name. "First off Sherwin, Its pronounced Her-reg-ee and second, Aw, pretty boy cant swear? Thats sad!" I said in a babyvoice, as i heard chuckling coming from fellow students. "No, I just chose not to swear!" He sqeaked. "Whatever potatoboy" I mutter, walking away. See, I have been in love with Camila since i first saw her. We were best friends throughout Elementary school. But we both went our own ways in High school.

I trudged through the hall. Seeing them together makes my insides churn. It hurts my heart. I can't see them together anymore. I know Cami isn't happy, everyone knows that. I need some way to get them apart.

It was lunch. I walked into the gymnasium and saw a bright pink flyer on the bulletin board. In bold, black letters it read:

"Miami High is looking for Football players!"

Shawn plays football, doesn't he? Maybe, i can knock him down from Miami High's best player.

I stuck my hand in my pocket and took out a pen i had from last period. I wrote my name down for try-outs. As i turned around, Camila was entering the gym. I waved at her sheepishly and she blushed at me. I miss her..

A few hours later, after school had finished I went to the gym. I need to get fit if i want to do well in try-outs. I sat at the barbells and grunted. Why did i chose to do this. I gripped the weight bar and lifted it. I broke a sweat before i even lifted the weights halfway up.

When i got home, i jumped in the shower scrubbing my body. I got out, put my pyjamas on and went to bed.

Man, this'll be hard.
