Damen was excited. He sat on his bed, back to the wall, tapping his pencil on his notebook. He glanced at his phone again, eagerly waiting for the message that would say when Angelo would come and pick him up. Damen nearly jumped out of his skin when the loud ping rang through the silence.
In seconds, Damen was closing his door and jumping down the steps. He saw Angelo smiling in the backseat of his mum's car. Opening the car door and sliding inside with an excited squeal, Damen finally was on his way to his (and Angelo's) favorite store, Hot Topic. They pulled out of the drive way, and on to the road.
"I can't wait to get there! I'm gonna buy a dress," he exclaimed. Angelo looked at him like he was crazy.
"A dress?! Why?"
"Well, why not?"
"Dresses a-are for chicks.."
"I'm just a fabulous man. Besides, you're one to talk, Mr. Drag-"
"H-hey! Shhhh!" Angelo said nervously, glancing at his mum and giggling. Damen was the only one who knew Ange's secret. He constantly teased the boy about it.
After what seemed like forever, they finally bumped into the mall parking lot. Damen and Angelo both sprinted to the huge silver doors, Angelo's mum screaming at them to wait. Both boys laughed, jumping over benches and dodging cranky old people. When they arrived at Hot Topic, they each have a high five to one of the laughing workers.
"Nice seeing you boys again," remarked one of the employees. "Try not to spend $500 bucks this time." She gave a look to Damen, who sulked and put his hands on his hips sassily. The workers laughed as the boys danced to the back of the store, grabbing pop figurines and anime-related t-shirts at the random.
"Dude," Angelo suddenly said. Damen looked up from the Fairy Tail shirt he was inspecting to see the naughtiest dress he had ever seen. It was covered in dark purple glitter, with huge breast cups and a way too short skirt, held up by thin straps. Damen nodded wordlessly and hugged the dress to his chest.
"My angel, this is the best gift you've ever gotten me," he said in a serious voice, poker-faced. Both boys guffawed and danced around a little more before paying and leaving the store.
"Ha!" Damen shouted. "I only spent $300 this time!"
