"Jacob! Hurry up!" You yelled, running as fast as you could. The sirens behind you were only getting louder, and more intimidating each second. Jacob groaned loudly behind you.
"(Y/N), why do you have to be such an idiot?!" Jacob yelled, sprinting up from behind you. He was extremely fast, and could catch up with you in a second or two. "You're going to get us arrested!" With that, the sirens behind you only got even louder.
You rolled your eyes, panting as you ran. "At least I got the stuff!" You yelled back at him, scoffing slightly. You looked over your shoulder as you entered the forest, slowing your run to a job.
"They're going to release helicopters soon," You said, panting. "We need to take cover, or find a town, quick." Jacob nodded, agreeing, but out of breath to say anything. Balancing on shaky legs, you jogged throughout the forest, keeping an eye out for any buildings or caves you could rest in.
Jacob sighed. "(Y/N), why don't you stay here, and I'll go look for something?" He asked you, and you stopped to lean against a nearby tree to catch your breath. He looked into your (e/c) eyes, his filled with concern.
You nodded and fell to the ground, sitting against the tree trunk. You looked at the wound in your side, wincing as you touched it. It had stopped bleeding, but it still was very painful. When you were running, you had fallen down and something had stabbed you in your side. You didn't know what it was, but it was painful.
"S-Sure. Be back soon." You answered, and with that, Jacob planted a small, brotherly kiss on your forehead and wandered off. "Don't get lost!" You weakly called after him.
You sighed. It was freezing out, and you had no idea where you were. Although you had a comfortable sweater on, it didn't help as soon as it started to snow. You shivered, curling your knees even closer to your face. This was going to be a long, long day.

As soon as Jacob got back, he looked extremely happy, despite that fact that you were extremely frozen. "(Y/N)! Good news," Jacob starting, offering you a hand so you could get moving again, "I found a town. It seems pretty nice and cozy too..." He said, but his voice trailed off as he thought of something.
"But... There's monsters living there." He said unhappily. He was never fond of the monsters after they came barging into the surface, living like normal humans. But you weren't scared of them, neither were you going to say you hated them. Jacob was just racist.
You sighed. "I don't care, Jacob. Let's get going." You said firmly, even though you were the younger sibling. You took his hand and pulled yourself up with the slight help of your brother.
With shivering bodies, you both made your way toward the town. You were filled with determination at the thought of living in a cozy town with nice people. But, the real question was... Did you have to be a criminal there, too?
You sighed and shook the thought out of your head as you continued waking through the snowy forest with your brother. You suddenly wished you had packed a heavy jacket, but you both had left early Autumn last year, and didn't think of it. You tried stealing a jacket once, but it was covered in holes and it was uncomfortable.
Yet, the sweater you had stolen mid-Autumn was perfect. You tried it on once you got back with Jacob, and it fit perfectly. You loved it. But now wasn't the best time for a thin, yet comfortable, sweater.
