Shanti's P.O.V.

it was starting to rain on us and started to get dark. My stomach growled every two seconds literally.  I started to have second thoughts about running away.  I know Mowgli feels the same way.

"Hey Mowgli."

"yeah?"

"I don't think we should keep doing this."

"Why not?"

"We are starving, cold, and no were to sleep."

"Do you want to go back to your boring dad that will probable never ever keeps his eyes off you if you go back, and do you really want me to go to a man village and never see me again." he said while getting in my face with anger in his eyes.

he is right if we go back I would never get to explore again and not to mention he will make me tell where Mowgli is and the worse will come. We can risk it so I have to agree with him.

"*sighs* I guess your right." I said.

we kept walking and found a rock with leaves covering the top so rain didn't fall through. we laded down and rested.

"Tell me where mowgli IS!" my father yelled.

"NO!"

"If you don't tell me I'LL-" he raised his paw at me.

"Shanti!" Mowgli said from outside the cave.

"Aww man cub welcome."

"What are you doing here Leave!"

For some reason he didn't move like he didn't hear me.

"You walked straight to your Death." he said and leaped right at him.

"MOWGLI MOVE MOVE-"

"Wake up little one." someone said.

"w-what?" I said while slowly opening my eyes. When my vision cleared in front of me was a huge bear.

"BEAR!" I scream.

I see Mowgli wake up in a split second. He grabs a broken tree branch.

"Whoa slow down you." the bear said while grabbing mowgli by the head.

he kept swinging. I ran to bite his ankle but he grabbed my head.

"PUT US DOWN!" Mowgli said.

"I will when you to calm down."

Mowgli stops swinging and I stop trying to bite him.  he slowly puts us down and backs away.

"So what is your names little ones."

"I'm Shanti and this is Mowgli."

"Well I'm Baloo the bear."  

"Well nice to meet you."

"So what are you to being out here alone?"

"We ran away and we aren't going back." Mowgli said.

"Oh well you to can live with me."

"that's a great idea." I said.

"Now all you have to learn is the Bare Necessities."

"Bare Necessities?"

"Yep."

he started to explain to us. He showed us how to eat ants even though Mowgli was struggling and almost got hit with a huge rock. Then he taught us to eat spikey fruits we have to use the claw not our paws. when he was done teaching us about no worries he rode on his stomach on a river. in the corner of my eye is see Bagheera walking away. Was he watching us the whole time? A wave of guilty went through me but we had no choice.

"Now give me a scratch on the nose." he said.

we started scratching his nose but all the sudden Mowgli gets grabbed by the foot and started swinging. I tried to see what was grabbing him and it was a........MONKEY?!
