Skater boy had long hair, but not too long and not too thick and with fine strands. The ends go past his chin but barely touched his collarbone at that time. Sometimes he'd tie up just the top half in a high ponytail, sometimes he'd tie up the entire thing. He reminds me of the Samurai anime character, Kenshin Himura each time he ties it up. He looks cool either way.
I noticed that he removes the hair tie whenever he leaves for lunch or whenever he leaves the operations floor. I remember doing the same thing a long time ago. I'd tie my hair up until the point where people won't recognize me. Then when I get near the area that I'd get recognized, I'd let down my hair. Now I just don't care. I'll tie it up or I'll let it down whenever I feel like it.
There was one time that he forgot or just lost the hair tie he was using. And he borrowed mine. I was happy to lend it to him. I was using an orange hair tie that I've had for years. I remember using it in Albay and that was back in 2013. I was actually wearing it on the day he was borrowing it.
"TL, pahiram naman ng tali."
"O-kaay," then I pulled off the orange hair tie from my hair and offered it to him.
"Thanks TL."
He grabbed it and just tied his full head of hair in a high pony. Just like the samurai that I absolutely adore. He had some shorter wisps of hair left untied that framed his face perfectly. I can't stop thinking about Kenshin each time I looked at him. I was affected that he's using something that is mine. I don't know why. I was just that, affected and also happy.
At the end of the shift, he almost left still wearing it. I didn't let him leave with it of course. That was my favorite hair tie.
