I had only just fallen asleep when I found myself in a strange dream. It seemed extremely vivid, almost real, except it clearly wasn't reality. There was ground and trees and clouds, just like the real world, but it was different; everything seemed blurry and wavering. It seemed as though everything around me was unsure of what form to take. Everything also had a slight mauve tinge to it, as though someone had painted over my eyes with an ever so thin layer of water dyed purpIe. I was able to think clearly and could control my actions, so I figured it was a lucid dream.

I wandered around a seemingly small and limited area. Whenever I moved too far in one direction, something stopped me from moving any further. It wasn’t like I had lost control of my body, but more like I had lost interest in proceeding, and wanted to turn around. After a few minutes of frustration, I was approached by a being. When it got near, everything around me stopped wavering, as though the world had decided on a form. The purple tinge remained, but it was now closer to fuchsia.

I waved, not knowing how to react.

The being offered no acknowledgement. It was fragile looking; beautiful, almost mystical. It was tall and unearthly, with soft lilac skin and long, flowing black hair that almost reached its feet. It seemed delicate, hovering slightly above the ground, and seemed as though a single touch from anything could break it. It hovered around me, seeming interested in me. I could tell it was a female, but not because of its face. I couldn't quite make out its face, not that it was hard to see, but because my eyes wouldn't focus on it when I willed them to.

My head felt dizzy as my encounter with her drew longer, and everything around me seemed to blur again, as though the world had decided that the form it had taken was wrong. She touched my cheek, and I closed my eyes. Her touch was cool and calming, but the dizzying effect grew much stronger. I started to feel pain in my cheek where she was touching me. Blood began to trickle down my face, and drip onto the ground from my chin. Another figure swooped in, seemingly from nowhere. This one was black in colour, and blindingly fast. It knocked the purple being away from me, and I fell. When my head hit the ground the world disappeared in a blink, and I woke with a start.
