The Opposite Of A Dream

Me and ma'am left before the prize giving as I was going to help her with the supper. All the boys and their parents from Gayles team were coming over for a Braai, while the rugby was on.

* a while later *

I heard noises outside my window and I figured it was them. Calli is out with her friends so I'm the only girl here. I decide to just stay in my room and read a book. I hear a knock on my door and and see ma'am "are u okay in here darling?"She asks and I nod. " you are welcome to come sit with me outside with the other parents" she says I smile and tell her that I'm alright here reading but I'll come later maybe. She smiles and walks outside.

I hear the door creek open and to my surprise it's Gayle. He smiles at me.

" hey "

He goes red in the face.

"Hi"

"Um... I want to introduce you to my friends"

I start to panic. I don't want all of them to know. I think he notices because he says.

"Don't worry I'm going to introduce you as a family friend, and your here because you need to be looked after. My mom said I should say that."

Feeling kinda dissapointed that he did not actually want to and was just told by his mom to introduce me.

"Oh so you don't actually want to introduce me? It's okay I'll just read here"

"No! I do she just said if they ask I must say that, I want to introduce you"

"Oh okay"

I smile at the thought of him wanting to and follow him to where his friends are sitting in the lounge.

"Guys, I'd like to introduce you to Morgan."

I just smile awkwardly at them. Kevin looks at me and then at Gayle confusedly.

I can tell she feels awkward when I introduce her, she just stands there smiling shyly. Most of the team don't know about her crish on me so they just say hi normally, but all my close friends have these big cheesey smiles on their faces.

" Would u like to watch with us?"

She looks at me not knowing what to say. But then she nods and sits on the floor and I know why she did not sit on the last place open on the couch because she allowed me to sit there.

"You can sit on the couch Morgan, I'll sit there."

She smiles politely and says " nah, it's chilled."

"Trying to be a gentleman for...." Kevin says as Gayle interrupts him with a death stare.

Watching the rugby with these boys is very intense. They always cheering and screaming and then u just get me quietly sitting on the floor.

I went earlier to help ma'am lay plates out and count the cutlery and stuff.

About and hour later ma'am called out "Supper". I was not really that hungry so I decided to first let the boys go and get theirs. I decided to go get a jersey cause it was getting pretty chilly.

( Gayle knows what I usually eat when they Braai cause they Braai a lot, a lot.)

When I returned most all the boys except Gayle was there.

"There you are.'' I hear from behind me.

He hands me a plate with a roll with butter on the sausage on the side and some salad. I start smiling as he remembered exactly how I like roll and what I eat.

"Thank you Gayle!" I say as I take the plate from his hands. He starts blushing as he notices the whole team is looking at us, but In paticually him.

After eating I'm pretty tired so I get up and say goodnight to the team and to the parents.
