"Mom," The 7th grader, Sean said, while looking at all of his new school supplies, "Do I really have to go t' school here?"

Sean's mother smiles at him softly, "Yes honey."

Sean looks up at her, his expression softens as he sees her smile. "Okay," He mutters in his Irish accent.

Once Sean was done eating and getting his things ready for his first day at his new school, him and his mother left.

Sean looks out the window admiring how pretty America is, different from his home in Ireland. He smiles at the bright blue sky and how bright the sun is shining.

They soon got to his new school. Sean is feeling butterflies in his stomach, growing, as they walked to the entrance. He adverts his eyes to anyone who he makes eye contact with. They go in and into the office and the principal says that he will show Sean around. Due to Sean's shyness he just nods politely.

The principal shows him where everything was in the Seventh grade wing, like the bathrooms, teacher rooms and other needed information to get around the school.

He shows Sean to his class, they walk in. Sean is nervous he looks down.

"Everybody," The principal starts, "This is your new student," He looks down at Sean, "Tell them your name." Sean nods slightly, bright red from embarrassment.

He looks at the class making eye contact with a boy with his hair dyed red, the boy smiles slightly but Sean looks away and says his name quickly, "My name is Sean."

Some of the students snicker and whisper, "Whats with his funny voice?" "Why is he so small?" "Why is his hair green?"

The teacher shushes everyone. She then smiles at Sean, "You have a lovely name, also your seat is back there next the boy with red hair." The teacher points at the empty seat.

Sean only nods then walks away from the teacher to sit next the boy with red hair. Sean quickly realizes that he is the one he made eye contact with before.

He sits down quietly placing his binder on his desk along with his pencil case.   The teacher starts going back to her lesson about the book they are reading.

Once class is over Sean decides to go out and get a drink, he sees the red haired boy, along with a big group of people, come out of the classroom, He must be popular, Sean thought as we turned back around to get a drink from the bubbler (or water fountain).

He goes up after drinking the cool refreshing water, just to be stopped by a group of people.

"Hey shorty mc'green head," The kids around him snickered, "Why are you so short, is it because you're a leprechaun, and is that why your hair is green?"

Sean backed away only to find the cool wall behind him, he shook his head 'no'.

"Aw small boy, are you shy?" The same kid asked dragging the 'y'.

Sean opened his mouth, "N-no," He cursed inside of his head for stuttering.

The bully was about to say something but then all of the sudden the red haired man slid in between him and the bullies. He stretched his arms out, "Stop making fun of him."

The bully's mouth fell open, "What the hell Mark, move out of the way." The bully
pointed in a random direction.

The red hair- Mark shook his head no, "Not until you leave him alone." This left Sean all blushy out of embarrassment, this was the first person to ever stand up for him.

The bully made a 'Tsk' noise before walking away, Mark was stronger than him, and the others.

Mark turned around smiling at Sean, Sean's mouth was slightly ajar blue eyes wide.

Mark pushed his glasses up dark beautiful brown eyes popping, "Are you okay, Sean?" Mark asked his smile never failing him.

Sean blushed looking away. He thought about running away.

"Hello?" Mark titled his head placing a hand onto Sean's shoulder.

Sean tensed up immediately and ran away into the classroom. This left Mark wondering what he did wrong, he slowly walked to the classroom, hoping to get a word out of the green haired Irish boy, named Sean.

Mark walked into class ignoring the teacher telling him he was late, he sat down in his desk wondering how to get Sean's attention. Poking him, talking to him, smiling at him?... oh a NOTE! Mark thought, he ripped out a piece of paper from his notebook.

M "Hey, Sean, are you okay?"

He folded the note and put it onto Sean's desk, carefully, so the teacher would not get suspicious.

Sean flinched when he saw Marks arm and note, he made sure not to make eye contact, and ignored the note. Soon another note was placed on his desk by the red haired boy, Sean sighed and chose to ignore it still. After a couple more minutes another freaking note was placed onto his desk, he tried to look at Mark with a glare, but he was "focused" on the teacher. Sean decided to read them.

The bottom one read
"Hey, Sean, are you okay?"
He blushed a bit. Still looking down he glanced over at Mark.

He chose to read the next one.
"Hey, I'm worried :("  Sean smiled a bit, how could someone care so much when they didn't know you.

He started unfolding the next one.  "SEAN!" The teacher yelled, "GIVE ME THOSE NOTES!" Sean shuddered everyone was laughing, he glanced at Mark he was doodling on his notebook pretending not to care.  Sean huffed rolling his eyes walking up to the teacher handing her the notes.

When he sat down he glared at Mark who now was starring at him, Sean muttered a sarcastic 'Thank you,' In his Irish accent before looking away fixing his green hair.

After that the annoying red head tried to poke Sean to get his attention, Sean ignored it not wanted to get yelled at again.

When the school day ended Sean was more then happy to leave he was practically running through the hallways to get outside to leave with his mum.  He was surprised when he ran into someone.

"Watch where you are going dumbass," The kid said pushing Sean down.

Sean whimpered hitting the ground, he slowly looked up to see the bully from before, but alone.

The kids entire face scrunched up, "What are you looking at Leprechaun?" The boy asked.

"N-nothing," Sean looked away to see Mark, they made eye contact, Mark almost immediately looked away, going back to talking to his friends. Sean's heart pounded, that stupid red head, he thought.

The bully walked off and Sean slowly got up, he decided to get a drink, and calm down before going outside to leave.
