Hope's POV
Dawn started approaching so I decided to head home with the wind gently blowing over my wings, and the light bouncing off my feathers as I headed for the forest.
*Time skip to when she was at her home/base*
When I flew low enough into the trees, I changed into my human form and opened up the shield hiding our base i flew through it and felt rain trickle down the leaves as if it had just rained. When I landed I transformed I was curious "Did the roof hold up this time?" I asked but when i took a step forward, I felt my foot get soaked "Guess not" I mumbled. I headed for the kitchen/living room and stared out the window seeing the sun starting the sun set meaning the patrollers were starting to come out. We are outcasts, people that are different, we have abilities that no one else has but once the villagers find out they hunt us down for some stupid reason, like Hope and I but there were others, they normally get caught and to be honest, I am surprised that they haven't caught us yet. (sorry for repeating this, it makes this easier for me). "Lets set up the disguise barrier and clean up some stuff from the floor" Roxy said pulling me from my thoughts.
We jumped down and started cleaning until we heard the sound of running getting closer "Quick get up Hope" Roxy said "Why would she send me up first, I'm older" I thought, but that was probably stupid seeing as how the clanking of the guard's armor was now really close, " HEY KIDS, GET OVER HERE" he screamed as Roxy and I ran for it. We ran through the forest util we reached a cliff, Roxy ran to a tree and pressed a secret button which showed some backpacks which we always pack with food, water and some extra clothes we grabbed the backpacks and jumped off the cliff, changing into my phoenix form and her in her dragon form. Her dragon has the ability to camouflage into her surroundings, in this case, the sky. I flew under her and we headed for our other base.
