It was a beautiful night. The Sun was just beginning to set. The waves were rolling up onto the beach taking then leaving shells with every second. You could smell the salty air everywhere and the food cooking on the boardwalk. The wind was blowing, but it wasn't a strong gust, it was a simple breeze that made her hair flow in a perfect sideways motion. All she could think about is how much she missed him. The boy that she grew up with all her life. The person who would throw mud at her, toss her into the swimming pool, eat all of her food, have crazy outrageous pillow fights with. Have a flour war while making brownies. The boy who she would always get in trouble with. The one who was always there to lend her a shoulder to cry on. She missed him and wondered how he was doing. It has been 8 months since she has seen him and she wondered when she ever will.
"Jake, wait for me, I can't keep up with you my legs are too short!" Bea said as they were racing around the backyard. "Well your going to have to be have to be faster than that to ever catch up with me!" Jake said as be went whizzing around the corner. We raced for ever, till our legs where like jello. "Ok Jake, you won. I give up! I'm exhausted and I'm going to change into my swimsuit!" "Ok I'm coming too!" He yelled after me. Once again running past me. I swear he was just like a little energy ball that never settled down. We got back out to the pool and swam till our fingers were like prunes and the sun began to set. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day that I never wanted to end. Sure we have been five, but I felt like we have something that no-one could ever take away from us. It was the beginning of a story that I can't wait to finish.
