I look outside my window as the rain pours down, the street covered with mud by the sideways. I stare at the guy standing outside the neighbors house, drenching himself without a care and only staring at the door in complete thought. I frown at the sight and walk away from the window of my room, my snickers squick as I walk down the stairs and grab an umbrella from the corner of the living room. I open the door and walk outside, opening the umbrella and quickly cover my body with it. I look up front and sigh when the guy is still standing there, not a change in his standing position. My feet splash with water each step I take and I chuckle to  myself at how he hasn't turned around with the loud noise of my steps. He was probably ignoring it, thinking it was just a passerby walking by. I get nervous as I get closer to him, doubting if it was a good idea coming here in the first place or not. I stop behind him with a sudden halt as he stands up straighter, and I suddenly got even more nervous when I got out of my thoughts and noticed I was already standing so close to him. But he already knows the 'passerby' was actually going to talk to him so why just not do it.

"Excuse me." I say with a soft tone, afraid I was going to scare him away. Twenty seconds had passes by and he had still not answered me, I frown to myself and reach up with my hand, about to poke him in the shoulder when suddenly he turned around. It was so quickly but I could still catch the tears on his cheeks before he looked down.

Now, I'm not going to ask him if he's okay, because he's clearly not. I extend my hand so he can also be covered by the purple umbrella. It seems that he had just noticed that there wasn't any rain pouring down anymore because he looked up with wide eyes and my smile falls slowly as I catch his clear swollen gray eyes. He stares at me quietly, the corner of his lips curved down and I start to get insecure as the time passes by. I ignore the obvious stare and move to my side, still keeping the umbrella where it covers the both of us and I point at my house with my thumb.

"You are shivering, you are going to catch a cold if you keep standing here outside with the rain. Fancy a cup of tea at my house? I swear it's better than being here outside." I smile awkwardly, look at the house and back at him to see his expression. He keeps staring at me, his lips drawn in a thin line and I bite the inside of my cheek, my heart beating with nervousness and anxiety, maybe it wasn't a great idea coming here for a start. After some more minutes and still no answer I nod, taking his silence as another way of saying no. Before walking away I reach for his hand, the coldness making his entire body tremble and I wait a few seconds for him to take back his hand. After no motion I place the umbrella on his cold hand slowly, taking my hand back after he grips the item. As my hands fall on my side I bite my lips to not reach for his hand again, the feeling of his skin leaving a tingle feeling around my body. I smile at him and take a step back, letting the rain now pour over my uncovered body. I glance at him one last time and almost slip with a mud out of shock when I catch a small smile in his face, maybe I was imagining it but it was definitely real, and he proved it when he chuckled at me. I quickly turn around, walking quickly to the other side of the street, cursing at myself when my cheeks get redder by the second.

As soon as I take a step inside the house I slam the door shut. I stand there, thinking back at what just happened and as I slide down the door with a goofy smile on my lips I knew I was crazy for real.
