Recap from Part 10
"Okay okay I'll go."
"Really?!"
"YuPP," I added extra emphasis on the P to make it more obvious that I had already agreed even before he invited me.
"Okay. I'll show you to our room!!!" His face lit up with excitement.
Part 11
We walked a while more in the lit corridor, occasionally some maids and servants walked by us and bowed to Gavin while looking at me curiously. After they passed, most of them chatted with one another and some of the time, while walking pass us, they would bang my shoulders with theirs on purpose, causing me to bang into Gavin in turn. "Sorry." It was the fourth time I was apologizing to him.
I felt bad when he cursed them under his breath. "I think it's better for you if I stay in your room. That way you won't be looked down on because I'm only a human and you're hanging out with me," I said gloomily. He stopped and pulled me to him into a tight embrace. "You will NOT think lowly of yourself. And I won't let you coop in that room. You've got to go out for fresh air. I doubt you will want to stay in the room day by day," he looked at me determinedly. "Do you think...you can turn me into a vampire?" I bit my lips nervously.
"I will do that if you really want me to, but now is not the time. It's better if we're married. Okay? Now let us go to our room."
Once we reached, I mean, once I reached the normal-looking door Gavin was standing at, he opened it for me and I gaped at his room. It was so damned big!!! Much bigger than the perimeter of my house. It was furnished with very expensive accessories and other stuff like vases and the like. Everything was so high-tech. A forty six inch plasma tv hung to the wall like a picture frame. Beneath it was a black and white striped cabinet. It looked so familiar...the design, the shape, the size...only the color was different...
"It's the same as the black and red colored one which was in the room I was put in right?" I asked eagerly. "Yes. I was a little shocked to see it there, because no one here had the same one as me. Either hey don't like it, or they're too proud to care. Come on, let's move you to our bedroom."
As we walked along, I stopped at every photograph I noticed and looked at them for minutes before we continued walking. One of the pictures caught my attention without me looking for it. In it was one young beautiful woman with flaming loosing curls around her cute doll-like face. Her nice wide smile made the picture look as if it's coming alive. The features of her face stood out and reminded me of Gavin.
The almost same wide smile, the same bright red hair, the same way their lips, nose, ears, and eyes were made...Is this his mother or sister? As if he could read my mind, Gavin hugged me from behind and spoke out the answers to my unasked questions. "She's my grandmother, recently became Dowager Kalirona, but sometimes still referred to as Queen Kalirona. My father didn't inherit her red hair, but I did."
"Red hair looks good on you," I smiled and brushed his hair back as I turned to face him, imagining how our children would look like if we ever had any children. I hope they would look more like Gavin instead of me, because he's gorgeous while I think I am nothing much compared to him. They would have the same hair as Gavin, the same smile. All but me in our nice little family would have that. It won't be any surprise to me if he left me for someone else.
I would be happy enough if I had him for myself for even a short while. I would give anything to spend eternity with him. The idea of being a vampire was not disgusting to me, so I could live with it, but I won't be able to live on if I ever found out he doesn't want me anymore, and then I would look for any deserted place and commit suicide contentedly...
