KAYDON:
"I'll be staying in this pack, Mate," she said.
I stared at her in anger and shock.
This chick was crazy. My wolf growled at me for the comment.
I looked down at my Beta in concern. He seemed to have passed out, I guess the pain was too much.
"Tim and Allen!" I called. My two best fighters came and stood in front of me, "Bring Daxton to the Pack Doctor."
They nodded their identical twin blonde heads. The only difference between them was that Allen had brown eyes and Tim had hazel eyes.
They picked up Daxton and carried him off.
I looked at the woman in front of me, who was my mate. She was looking around the lawn with a small smile on her face. The blood dripping down her chin was already dried. She stood there as if she didn't just shatter the bones of a grown man, a Beta.
She looked up at me and blushed, grinning.
Her big eyes were a dewy brown again. She looked so innocent, I could almost convince myself that she didn't have the expression of a sadistic psychopath. Her eyes had been a blazing blue, but then it started turning a blood red around the pupils. Her expression had turned into one satisfaction as if she was pleased with what she was doing.
I looked down at her hand and it was still covered in fresh blood. I growled at her.
I looked behind me and dismissed the pack. I started toward the Pack Doctor's office and heard her footsteps following after me.
"Your name?" I asked.
"Bambi Moonstone. Alpha of the Moonstone Pack. Daughter and only child of Lindy Stratner and Daniel Moonstone..."
I stopped in my tracks in shock.
"Age 16. Born May 25th 2000. O negative bloodtype-"
"Stop," I said and looked back at her. She eyed me in confusion.
"First, I asked for your name, that's it. Second, you're an Alpha?" I asked in shock. This crazy woman was an Alpha. I looked her over. Well, she is strong, I suppose I should've guessed that.
"You're an Alpha and you're here and not with your pack because...?" I trailed off gesturing for her to finish.
She beamed at me, "Mate."
She tried to grab hold of my hand, but I tore it away and ignored the sparks.
I felt that if I ignored the pull and any signs of the bond, I could deny her.
You just called her mate awhile ago, Ash interrupted.
I cursed in my head at my mistake.
I looked at her, just realizing something.
"Your name is Bambi?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.
She nodded, "Mother liked the irony."
I nodded and started walking again. She followed behind me in silence until we were in Daxton's room.
She looked around at everything with a frown.
I ignored her and approached Daxton's bed. Doctor Sandy was already there.
I cleared my throat. She looked up at me and immediately smiled, a little too warmly might I add.
"Well?" I asked, impatiently.
"Alpha," she purred, "he has swelling in his throat so when he wakes up he won't be able to speak. The bones in his leg is completely shattered, um, there is no way I could fix it."
