Chapter 4:

(Still at the kingdom)

Guards #1:
"We're not going to hurt you or anything as the councillors orders we need to find the princess now. By any chance do you know where the princess is?" Guard one asked walking towards John.

"No, we saw her come by for some food that's all but after we never saw her again," John said looking back at the guard.

The guard looked deeply in John's eyes to see if he was lying. He saw nothing.

"Thank you General but that's enough questions to ask my friends of my missing child," the queen said.

The general turned around and bow his head. "But your Highness these two were the last people the princess went to."

"General look at them they are completely innocent and these people are my friends," the queen said walking towards Rose and John. "I want to release them at once."

The general looked at Rose and John and saw that they both didn't look someone to hide something away from someone. "Yes your, Highness."

He walked to Rose and unlock the handcuff and went to her husband and did the same.

"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, will you forgive me," the general bow his head as a sign of apologize.

"We forgive you general we know it was what you were order to do," Rose replied.

"Come my friends my husband wants to see you."

As for that being said Rose and John followed the queen out of the room.

Rose's POV:
"The councillors are now ordering the royal guards to find our daughters. How will we be able to compete with that," I said pacing in the king's and queen's room.

"They will be fine all we need to care about is, if they made it to California. We will deal with the councillors and the royal guards later," the King said.

"I wonder where they are right now," the Queen replied looking at her husband with a worried.

Emma we kept the princess in your hands. I hope you guys are safe...

*A/N: let's fast forward a little bit. The king and queen well didn't really like the idea of the councillors taking over. They both have this unsettling feeling about the two new councillors not their daughter's ex boyfriend. Well that's all I'm going to you my lovely readers let's get back to the story shall we.

(Back to the tunnels)

Lexie's POV:
"We need to leave fast the sharks will be here soon," I said to Emma now taking the lead in the tunnels.

So we continued to swim. We finally saw the light coming outside of the tunnels.

Great we finally find the end- wait a minute is that a damn.

"Well I guess our way to escape is block right now," Emma said moving closer to me.

"Okay than let them come I have more blood where that came from," I muttered.

One by one they were coming towards us.

"They're coming too fast Lexie take cover," Emma said coming to move me from harms way.

Dammit not good.

"Princess you need to find a place to hide so the sharks wouldn't attack."

That name again.

(the sharks were swimming closer)

Emma let me go and went towards the sharks. Oh my gosh she really about to go through ten sharks.

I sighed...damn is Emma that clueless. I understand she wants to protect me but through ten sharks yeah that's not happening.

I shake my head. Had my left hand out in front of me it started to glow this bright light and hit them all didn't miss not even one. Emma stopped. I can hear her heart beating with anger.

"Look Emma I didn't want any sharks get to you okay beside we couldn't use magic remember back at the kingdom."

She was calming down but didn't say anything but started swimming. Great there goes silent treatment for me.

We swam for about three hours until we finally got out of the tunnel. I smiled.

I can't believe we finally got out of that hell hole...my whole body is sore for swimming for that long.

We swam a little more moving far away from the tunnels.
When we found a little cave we went inside the sun was setting for the day.

Emma and I was really tired.

There was little creatures inside hiding from the sharks frenzy. At this time of night sharks come and hunt. So I thought of a rock to cover the cave entrance so the sharks wouldn't think of coming in.

Emma drunk a little more blood and I fed the little creatures and they both made beds for me and Emma to sleep on for tonight. It was nothing but seed weed they put on the ground for us.

"Awe. Thank you so much for the bed," I said bowing my head. I heard them gasp with excitement. They kept saying thank you.

Mermaids can understand all sea creatures just so you know.

I look over at Emma and saw her already sleeping. But there was something that broke my heart to hear her said that.

"Mom and dad I'm so sorry for leaving you behind, I just didn't want to let you protecting the princess," she said in her sleep.

I sighed.....

I never wanted to leave my parents or my people behind...

But I had to. There is nobody on this world know what I am, my parents and Emma's parents they were just trying to protect me that's why I left.

I sighed again.

I really hope they are okay.
