Note: This is my first reader insert so I apologise if its absolute rubbish , I just wanted to try writing for one and see how it goes so... I hope its okay XD

~story~

For as long as you could remember, your father had always kept you hidden away from the light of day within the hellsing manor which seemed more like a eternal prison of darkness to you as each day passed, each month moving along without a second thought. You were only a simple 4 year old is what many humans would say, though many residents of the manor would know better than to call you such a term which had made your father frown in disgust and pure confusion as if it should be clear what you were.

You were ____ , a young vampire who unfortunately was the daughter of Alucard , the strongest vampire in hellsing.

It wasn't that you didn't love your father for you absolutely adored him, you always tried to make your father happy and be as cheerful and positive as possible – though you acted like this to most of the residents of the manor. Your father treated you like fragile glass who deserved only the best which explained most of your cd's and vinyl records inside of your room along with anything you had desired over the years which mainly was to do with some form of art or craft.

The only downside to your dad's protectiveness was that... he never let you go where you wanted to go, he never let you leave the Hellsing manor unless he and HE alone was there to protect you and even then, you could never go outside of the grounds of your home.

No : if, buts or maybe's – you couldn't question his authority no matter how much you begged and pleaded for him to change his mind, though he never did change his mind and would stare at you with a stern stare which would make you quieten down almost immediately

You just wanted the freedom to run outside when you wanted to, you wanted to feel the wind touch your (s/c) skin and flow through your (h/c) hair as your ran through the green glass which would sway and dance in the softly blowing wind, like a form of encouragement for you to explore the world more which you yearned to know about.

You wanted to know.

You wanted to know so much and craved for this knowledge, you just wanted to understand so much though you were only secluded to a small number of books in your room which never filled the empty void.

Though mainly you wanted to know...know what the sun looked like. You had heard so many stories about it and how it could hurt a simple vampire like yourself if you hadn't been covered properly or shaded from the suns so called 'harsh' rays. You once had caught a glimpse of the light when you couldn't sleep one day and had went to your fathers room to get some rest, though your father had quickly covered the windows with the curtains to shield your (e/c) eyes from the rays so you only had a glimpse of the mystical source of light which had left you with so many questions.

Though today would be different, she would find out no matter what her father, Seras, Walter or Integra said.

She was determined to find out.

"Miss ___, isn't it about time you got to bed? Your father would be awfully upset if you didn't" walter said with a small and short bow , looking at you with a raised eyebrow as you simply tilted your head at him from where you were sitting on the stairs. Staring at him with your (e/c) eyes shining slightly with curiosity before nodding slowly and spoke with a quiet voice "Papa said that I could stay up later".
