I opened my eyes groggily as sunlight leaked through my open window. Glancing at my clock on the nightstand next to my bed, I noticed it was only 6:30 a.m. I rolled over, burying my face into my pillow.

Why did I wake up so early?

Maybe it was the dream I had. I don't even remember half of it; I can only recall Laurance being in it.... and being close to me...

I shuddered, pushing the thought to the back of my mind. It doesn't matter now.

What does matter is I'm starving.

I hadn't eaten dinner last night. Something happened between me and Aphmau. I just went to my room and slammed the door without coming out for the rest of the night.

-The Night Before-

"Aphmau! Get over here!" I snapped, grabbing her arm.

"You don't control me Garroth! Would you fuck off?" She spat, trying in vain to break my grip.

"You can't just brush this off! This not that easy." I hissed behind gritted teeth.

"I still don't understand how this concerns you." She sighed, giving up on escaping.

"If that happened, why didn't you tell anyone?" I said, ignoring her comment.

"Because I didn't want this to happen!" She growled, looking away.

"But you've just been hiding it! It's not healthy to keep that shit pent up!"

"So what if Aaron and I broke up? I'm fine! I don't need an fucking intervention!" She fired back.

I finally let go of her, backing away.

"Fine. If you're so convinced you're ok, I won't bother you. But don't forget you came to me. I was concerned about you--"

"Well, you don't need to worry of me. I'm fine."

"Then you can leave."

"What?"

"If you're fine, you don't need to be here anymore. That was the only reason you came over right?" I snorted, turning away.

"Garroth..." She paused, never finishing her sentence.

"Have a good night, Aphmau." I grumbled. I could hear her breaths growing shaky as she fought back tears. Then, I heard the front door slam shut as she left.

-Back to the Present-

Yeah. It wasn't fun. I felt horrible right after and locked myself in my room. Only Laurance came to check on me a few times.

He was so concerned about me. He kept begging me to let him in, and saying he wanted to help. It was really sweet...

Ok, let's not get into that.

I threw the covers off me, swinging my legs over the edge of the bed and shuffling over to the door on wobbly legs. I cracked it open, peering out at whatever I could see of the house.
