Lima Here We Come

Rachel's POV
"Kate, sweetie it's time to go!" I yell to my two year old daughter.
"Mommy, I don't want to go to Wima." She whines.
"We have to honey we are going to live by Grandpa Hiram and Grandpa Leroy!" I said excitedly.
"Yay!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
I guess that means she is pretty excited about leaving the great state of New York.
"Alright let's go see our new house!" I say with very little excited in my voice.
I'm very nervous about living in Lima again it's been 3 years and I still haven't told Kate's dad who lives in Lima about her.

2 hours later at the airport

"Last call for Lima, Ohio!"

I hear the attendant call over the loud speaker.
I try to move my carry on bag from the chair but I feel like my legs are paralyzed because Kate is spread out on my lap asleep. I finally stand up without waking Kate up. As I stand up and walk to the gate. I see a tall man stand up and start walking towards me. He looks very familiar so I just turn my head and keep walking.
Once I sat down in my seat and got Kate into her seat I couldn't get the face of that man out of my mind.
"Mommy, are we almost there yet? Kate said sleepily.
"Not yet. If you take a nap when you wake up we will be in Lima."I said as I rubbed her back slowly.
She slowly rested her head on my thigh and drifted asleep. I put my head on the side of the plane and shut my eyes.

2 hours later

"Passengers we have just landed in Lima, Ohio." The pilot said over the speakers.
"Kate it's time to wake up!" I said quietly as I shook her. I picked her up and put her on my shoulder and off we went throughout the Lima Airport.
"Kate are you excited to see your granddads?"I said in a happy voice.
"I am super excited Mommy!" She yelled.
"Good because there they-"
Before I could even finish she was running straight into their arms.

"Hi daddy" I said as I hugged him.
"Hello Rachel nice to see you and Kate." He said sounding a little upset. I decided just to ignore it because if I ask I knew he wouldn't tell me.
"Hi dad" I said as I hug my other dad.
"Hey Rach." He said as I grabbed Kate from him.
As we walked out of the airport and I got Kate into my dads car and they drove us to our new house. It was complete silence, not even Broadway Radio was playing like it usually was. I knew something was wrong.

"Dads what's wrong?" I ask quietly.

"Rachel sweetie we have decided to get a divorce." My dad said with sadly.

"What why?" I said as tears formed I my eyes.

"We have just been having arguments a lot and we need time to be alone from each other and see other people. But we will both still keep in touch with you." My daddy said right as we pulled into my driveway.

"Well looks like we are here. Thank you guys so much for picking us up." I said trying to change the subject. I gave them both hugs grabbed my bags and Kate then headed inside.

I hope you enjoyed the first part of this story this part is very long because I just wanted to fit Rachel moving back to Lima after she lived in New York.
Correct me on anything because this is my very first story it won't be the best so please respect that but please give me criticism.
