Adelines POV
Ring! Ring! Ding!
The bell echoed all around the school. Adeline gathered her things and was ready to leave when when Miss Kendrick called her over to her work space, she said, "Miss Hemworth, please come to my desk." Ugh?! Really? Don't get me wrong, she is one of my favorite teachers but she knows I hate being late.
"Yes? Miss Kendrick?" she asked impatiently.
"Now, now, I know you don't like being late that's why I'll give you a note for an explanation. You can stop giving me that look now," she said calmly. Good.
The morning sun shone in her golden brown pixie hair which made it even gloden. Oh how I always wanted hair like that! Miss Kendricks eyes shifted away from Adeline and focused onto another figure slowly make its way to her desk. Then the unknown figure stopped beside Adeline.
"Now, you two maybe wondring why I gathered you here after class," she explained. Hmm yes. Adeline thought.
"Well Miss Hemworth you should know Mr Everstin here," she pointed to the person beside me.
"Now, Miss Hemworth, Mr Eeverstin here has been struggling to keep his grades up, if he does not, he will be taken out of the vollehball team and we really need the captain."
"And this concernes me because?" Adeline questioned. From the corner of her eye, she saw Everstin tilt his head a bit tacken back from her question. Miss Kendrick raised her brow.
"So you decline my offer?" Thanks for asking though. Adeline thought.
"Well... Um... Fine I'll try to help him out as I possibly can." Adeline said forcefully.
"Thank you Adeline, you will be a great help to the team!" she exclaimed. Yay!
He turned to her like he was waiting for her to say something but Adeline just ignored him.
Miss Kendrick both gave the pair a note explaining why they are late and Miss Kendrick dissmissed the two.
"Before you go Adeline!" she called. Gahh! What know?! Adeline thought.
"This will be a good way for you to make new friends and to socialize," she explained.
"Tch, I don't need new friends and a popular boy in my life, we won't fit together," she replied abnoctiously. Sigh.
To Adeline's surprise, Mr Popular was waiting outside the classroom. Is he waiting for me? Porbbably not. She thought. So she paied no attention to him.
"Adeline wait! I'll walk you to class," he inssisted.
"It's okay, I can find my way through the halls, I do go to this school," she shot, throwing a smirk at him.
The lunch bell just rang and Adeline casually walked over to her locker.
"Yo! Adeline! Hurry up I'm stsrving!" Alley hollered.
Bam! Adelines locker slammed."Geez, you're so loud Alley," I mumbled.
"You look gloomy today," Amanda stated. Then she turned to her three friends and flashed her with her bright smiles.
"I'm stuck tutoring the most popular guy in grade eleven!" she grumbled.
"Why? Are you so bummed?! Do you have any idea how many girls would die to be in your position?" Skyler asked.
But Alley answered for me, " a hella lot."
"Look at you two! Already falling for his charms and looks. Wow," Adeline sighed.
"It won't be that bad. Right?" Amanda gestured for the other two to back her up.
"Anyway, Miss Kendrick thought that it would be nice if I 'socialze' and 'stuff.'" she mimicked.
This is going to be intersting. I can just feel it.The group of four found them selfs perched under a grand oak tree watching the boy playing football. The sun was shining, it was 25°c outside, the grass was green and the leaves slowly changed colors, the cool autumn breeze carried Adelines jet black hair behind her. Then she noticed that Alley was watching a specific player and when she had follewed her gaze, she found herself gawking at Jack Singer. Oh, I know him, we have chemistry together. No we do not like each other. Her brain thought.
"Hey guys! Alley's checking out Jack Singer!" yelled Adeline.
Alleys head instantly snapped to her and her face shocked.
"Ah really?" asked Amanda.
"Look he's coming over here to get the football!" cheered Sky. The football was beside Alley and she picked it up and handed it over to Jack. "Thanks," he had said and Alley blushed.
