Michael's POV
Last night was the greatest night of my life. Despite nearly being caught, which made my heart race, last night was magical. I'm so in love with him. I feel so light. I feel I can conquer the world!
I'm sitting by the lake, thinking about last night. Stephen is helping the counselors. I really hope he doesn't get caught. I look to my right and see Stephen, near the treeline of the woods, carrying wood for the bonfire tonight.
He's shirtless, which, besides being sexy, is very risky. He has his hat on though. I guess no one has ever seen him shirtless so they don't know his body is covered in beautiful tattoos.
My eyes violate his body. I guess he felt someone looking at him because he looks over in my direction and smiles. I wave and blush. He flex his muscles, making my shorts tight. I try my best to cover up. He notices and bites his bottom lip.
My excitement goes away as soon as Shaun sits next to me. He looks over at Stephen who's glaring at Shaun. Shaun says,
"I hope he doesn't get caught. "
I nod and say, "Me too. "
Stephen gets back to work. I say,
"Well, I have to go. "
I get up and start to walk on the trail around the campsite. I don't like being rude to anyone, but Shaun gets under my skin. I have a bad feeling about him. Maybe I'm just being too paranoid.
I should give him a chance...
I stop and turn around. I ask,
"Hey, Shaun, would you like to walk with me? "
He smiles and nods. He gets up and joins me. He says,
"Its nice out here, don't you think? "
He's not so bad. I smile and agree. I say,
"I love nature. It's so peaceful. "
He smiles and asks,
"Have you heard about the play at school? "
I shake my head and ask, "What play? "
He answers, "Romeo and Juliet. The school is going to turn it into a musical. You should audition. "
I blush and shake my head. "I don't know about that... "
He smiles and says, "I know you can sing. I heard you this morning. You're really good. "
I blush again and said, "I'm not that good... "
He nods and says, "You are! You should really audition. You'll love it. "
Before I could respond, some of our peers call Shaun over. He looks and waves at them. He turns to me and says,
"Think about it. You'd be great. "
He jogs over to his friends.
I've never thought about performing. I can sing... I'm very good, but I only thought about it as a hobby. I'll talk to Stephen about it. If I do audition, I would like Stephen to be there, supporting me.
Maybe this will even get some of the students to stop picking on me. And I could make new friends! I'm already excited about it! This will be great!
