Prologue/Sneak Peak

I remember nothing from before I was an orphan. So I'm practically missing 7 years of my childhood. Sucks right. You don't even know the half of it. This story I'm about to tell you is a hundred percent true. Scouts honor.

It is easy to pretend like your not hurting. Like the words that are whispered behind your back, by the people who are supposed to be there for you, aren't swimming towards your ears. Its not difficult to pretend that you don't care that you have been tossed aside by people you don't even remember. But it gets old fast. You reach a breaking point. One day you snap.

I could tell you it was one specific event that caused my snap, but that wouldn't be entirely true. It was everything piled on top of everything else. However, none of that is important because you can come back from snapping, it is other things you can't come back from, and those things are far more important.

I broke. I fucking broke like a god damn porcelain doll. I know that you can break bones. Hell, the average human has 265 bones that can be broken, but the other breaking is worse. It is like waking up to some duct taping sound proof headphones to your head. It's like someone droning you over and over again. It is voluntary apnea on the good days.

It sucks not being able to forget anything because remembering everything you've ever seen, heard, and fucking done.
