Kall's POV
*B E E P! B E E P! B E E P!*
It was early in the morning, right before school. I got up and went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.
"Whoa, glad someone invented mirrors," I muttered as I grabbed my brush from the medicine cabinet. After I brushed out the tangles from my long black hair, I was satisfied with just putting it up in a ponytail. I sighed as I put on the yellow monstrosity people like to call a school uniform.
"Miss Kalliope, please come eat breakfast," My maid, Mai, said. Mai was a 32 year old woman but she looks very young. I think she looks pretty.
Gorgeous even, if she wasn't wearing her maid uniform. Mai has been with me ever since you were born since my parents, who own all the big bank branches in Japan, are always busy.
"Alright," I simply said. After I was done, I walked out the door to the limo that was awaiting me. I sat down and stared out the window.
I started thinking about all the hallucinations I've had over the past years. One was where I thought a man was stalking me when I was in 7th grade. I sighed as I remember the terror I felt when I thought that.
"Ah, Miss Kalliope, I'm sure it'll rain today. Would you like an umbrella or will you wait inside after school for me?" My chauffeur, Mr. Hanato, asked. "Yes! It's going to rain! I've been waiting for this for a long time!" I thought to yourself.
"Um... May I have the umbrella? I would like to walk home today," I said and before he could object I said, "And if you get in trouble, I'll just say it was my fault." I smiled at him.
"Are you sure, Miss Kalliope? I wouldn't want you getting into any trouble," Mr. Hanato said nervously.
"Yes, I am. I'll be fine. I'm... Uh, actually going to walk home with a friend," I lied.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then, Miss Kalliope," he said, unconvinced. He handed me an umbrella that could fit easily into my bag. I waved goodbye to him as he drove away.
The reason I wanted to walk home in the rain was because there was this beautiful clearing in the woods next to my house and it was even more pretty in the rain.
I was walking through the halls and bumped into someone.
"Oof!" I yelped as I fell on my butt. I looked up into the face of Mori with Honey asleep on his back. "Um, sorry," I said sheepishly.
"It's ok," Mori said quietly, though his deep voice making it harder to hear. He held his hand out to me, offering to help me up.
Honey woke up and exclaimed, "Kall-chan!" He crawled off Mori's back and jumped around on me, wrapping his cute little arms around my neck and dozing off again. "He's pretty light..." I thought as I stared at his golden blond hair.
I turned my attention to Mori who was just looking at me and Honey.
"Um, so... Where were you guys going? I mean... Since Hunny fell asleep I thought I'd give you a break and carry him there..." I trailed off as Mori picked me up with Honey still hung around my neck. Mori then proceeded on walking to my destination.
"Mori, you can put me down. I'm fine and I could still carry Honey. He's not that heavy," I said.
"No," was all he said.
"Please?"
"No." I sighed and just snuggled closer since he wouldn't put me down.
