THE LONG LOST HEART

4. A Loving Mom

September 10 this is the day that i'll find out if i pass or i failed, so i got up from my bed earlier and got ready, but then, my mom called

Mom: "Hey darling hope you pass the exam, love you dear"

And she closed the phone because she is always busy at work.

Jade: "I love you too mom, iven if the phone is closed i hope you heard that mom."

Meanwhile at school, all of the students were waiting for the results.
My phone rang,  it was my Bro, so I answered it

Ron: "Hey Jade hope you passed"
Jade: " Yeah I hope so too"
Ron: "Oh yeah mom called and she said that she have a surprise for you. IF! You passed"
Jade: "Really?"
Ron: "Yes but don't tell mom that I've told you,  just be quite about it"
Jade: "Yes i will"
Ron: "And act like you don't know about it ok?"
Jade: "Yes Ron I know.."

I said to him with an annoyed expression,  he sighed..

Ron: "Ok then bye kiddo"
Jade: "Ok bye"

And we hangup. After few minutes of waiting,  the secretary came out at the office and put a paper on the bulletin board,  when the secretary left all of the students were pushing each other,  I guess everybody wanted to pass, "well who doesn't",  so I let them see first, i don't want to get killed by them.
When everybody left, I went closer and looked what's written on the paper,  it was all the students who didn't passed and whoever is not on the list, they have passed the exam, so I looked carefully for my name and I didn't found my name on it, i looked at it again just to make sure that my name was not here, after looking again, my name was no where to be found,  so my face was full of happiness so I called Ron and he answered.

Jade : " Bro! I passed!!"

I said to him with full of happiness into my voice.

Ron: " Congrats sis!"
Jade: " Thanks Bro, tell mom about it please, I'll be at home in about 20 minutes"
Ron: "Ok I'll go home as well then"
Jade: "Ok bye"

And we hangup,  but before I go home, I wanted to look at the paper and I was thinking if Nick had passed the exam, and yes he did, I also did checked for Mr. Friends name and his name wasn't there too, so my day was complete my face was full of happiness.
Meanwhile I went home and opened the door of the house,  the light was off, the windows were closed, so I opened it.
After that I went up straight to my room and when I opened my room turning the lights on and...

"Surprise!!!"

Mom and Bro was there standing in the middle of my room and they were holding a cake I was so surprised cause my mom is here, so I run towards my mom and hugged her.

Jade: "Thank you mom"

I pulled my Bro to hug me too.

Mom: "Ok this is so dramatic"
Ron: "Yeah! We should stop
Jade: "Ok.."

I was about to cry, i am so happy that my mom is here.

Mom: "Jade don't cry"
Jade: "I'm not crying"
Ron: "Oh! Jade is crying, Oh! What a crying baby, haha"

Bro said while mocking me.

Jade: "No I'm not a crying baby"

Although I was, and we started fighting.

Mom: "Ok kids enough fighting,  who wants to have fun?"

We both get quiet, whenever mom is asking us if we want to have fun she always buys us things that we want, so we both said yes and so we went out. We we're out the whole day, we went for shopping,  fun rides and we ate at the restaurant, this was one of the best day of my life, I had so much fun with my mom and Bro. In the evening when we arrived at home we were all knocked out so we all went to bed.

The next morning...

It's September 11 and school has started, I woke up early because I wanted to pass by at my best friend's house. When I arrived at his house, I rang his door bell and nobody was opening, so i rang it again and again but then nobody answered, so i used my plan B, i searched in the front of their house about the emergency key, and it was under the gnoom, so i tooked it and opened his door, after that I went to his bedroom, and he was still sleeping, so to woke him up I opened his mp3, maximizing the volume and played his music, he jumped out of his bed and finally woke up. I couldn't stop laughing at him, he glared at me.

Jake: "it's not funny Jade"
Jade : " Well it is funny hahaha!!!. Your peeing right now hahaha!!!"

I said while laughing hard.

Jake: "Oh shit! Jade I hate you"
Jade: "I love you too Jake hahaha!!!!!"
Jake: "Ok get out of my room, I'll go take a bath"
Jade: "Ok see you downstairs"

I said to him with a huge smile on my face. So I went downstairs and made him some breakfast and waited for him to finish. Later on he went down.

Jake: "That was not cool Jade!"
Jade: "I'm sorry Jake,  i was waiting for you to open the door,  so I took your key under the gnoom and opened the door,  if I didn't did that, you would be late at school again, so hurry up and eat your meal then let's go."
Jake: "puff! Ok.. but I'm still mad at you"
Jade: "Oh I know you'll forgive me"
I said smiling at him
Jake: "whatever Jade"
Jade: "Go on hurry up Jake or we'll be late"
Jake: "Ok mom!..."
He said while glaring at me and I smiled back at him.

Later on, we arrived at school,  at the gate we saw Nate, Kim, Alex, Nick and Mr.  Friend we greeted them and we went in the middle of the school for the opening ceremony,  or surname were called and every group of names will be divided into different sections, so i went to my section where I belong, with Nick as well and took our books. After school, we hangout at the park, in front of the school,  In the middle of the park there was a basketball court, the boys we're playing except for Jake and us girls we we're all talking but then.

Jake: "Jade do you know that guy?"
And he pointed at Mr. Friend
Jade: "No I actually don't know his name but I know that, he is close with Nick"
Jake: "Ok" "Hey! Ryan! Come here!"

He shouted calling mr. Friend, i panicked when he called him but I tried to be cool

Ryan: "what's up?"
Kim: "the sky"

I slightly laughed at her answer

Jake: "Let me introduce you to my best friend" "Her name is Jade and Jade this is Ryan"
Jade: "Nice to meet you"
Ryan: "Nice to meet you too" saying with a serious face.

When he gave me that expression I became silent. Meanwhile the boys had stopped playing and they were at the corner of the court, i was wondering what the heck they're doing, suddenly they went towards us and Nate called me to go with him at the other side of the court just the two of us.

Nate: "Jade?"
Jade: "Yes"
Nate: "I know.. that you know that.. I liked you for 2 years..."
