In a land far, far away, there lies a realm of magic- home to the first beings in the world. Below the Realm, there was only a barren Earth.

An outstandingly gorgeous woman was the first inhabitant of the Realm. Legend has it that she was created one day from the God and Goddess who lived in the rays of the sun. She was sent to the Realm to create life.
Over time, as the child grew, she had given herself the name Naomi. She had long golden locks and glowing skin. She reached womanhood, still on her own, and felt lonesome. Naomi spent her days searching for more creatures like her among the Realm.
One day, as she walked upon the cloudy ground, a full grown woman-just like her- had fallen on to the seemingly solid, cushioned floor. Naomi beamed over to the woman.
Naomi focused on pulling up this new being. All at once, the woman broke through the ground, Naomi caught her hand, and was dragged down the gaping hole with her.
The tumultuous descent into this foreign world befuddled both the women. With hands clutched together, they felt the cold shock of the ocean's embrace.
They gasped for air, slamming their arms into the capturing depths, fighting to stay afloat. The view of land nearby was tormenting.
At last, they reached shore, relieved. They lie there on the soft sand, winded, and dumbfounded.
"Where are we?" the woman finally questioned, ridding her face from the salty residue.
"I wish I knew, seems as if we're trapped here." Naomi bluntly stated as she analyzed the woman's appearance. She had long silvery hair draped over her fair skin; her dazzling blue-grey eyes stared back into Naomi's luminous hazel ones.
"I apologize for the predicament I've brought upon us. I greatly appreciate you attempting to save me. My name is Iris, I had believed I was alone in the Realm. The moon God and Goddess created me and let me into the Realm when I was but a child, they explained I would discover my purpose. I tried to put an end to my lonely time, endlessly dragging on, that's why I had jumped." she explained.
"If we're being honest, I never would have thought to imagine the events that unfolded this morning to occur. I had not wasted a second thought on saving you; so no need to apologize. We can explore this land together."
As time in the foreign land had passed, Naomi and Iris became familiar with their surroundings. The two spent time by each other's side. Naomi and Iris grew very fond of one another, and had slowly fallen in love.
Back in the Realm, the sun God and Goddess and the moon God and Goddess were infuriated with one another. They roared, lashing blame at the other Gods.
"WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MY BEAUTIFUL CHILD GOING MISSING!?" the sun Goddess cried as the sun God consoled her.
"BOTH of our children are lost! We MUST find them at once!" exclaimed the moon Goddess, hoping they hadn't met their end.
Over a long collection of time spent searching the Realm for the women, the Gods' and Goddesses' hopes of finding their children was diminished.
"They were supposed to FIND each other, not DIE with one another!" the sun God bellowed.
"YOU HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR DEATHS!" the moon God shot back, refusing to speak of what truly filled their thoughts.
"IF IRIS HADN'T FELT ABANDONED, SHE NEVER WOULD HAVE HURT HERSELF OR NAOMI! THESE EVENTS ARE ALL YOUR FAULT!" the sun God's voice echoed.
"This tragedy does not call for assigning blame. However, we CERTAINLY will NOT stand by as you do so. WE HOPE TO NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN!" the moon God boomed at the sun God.
And with that, the moon God and Goddess mustered up all their magic and sacrificed it all to ensure themselves to be secluded from, and to never meet the presence of the sun God and Goddess again. This marked the first occurrence of sunsets and sunrises.
"Why hadn't our children found each other earlier in time? If Iris had the knowledge of the life of Naomi, maybe they would still be..." the sun Goddess wept, collapsing to her knees, sending vicious rays of light deep into the Realm's weakened floor, obliterating the soft shell into millions of separated wisps.
The sun God and Goddess were in awe as the formations traveled away from each other revealing the two women thriving amongst the land beyond the Realm.
The two women watched in horror as their previous home was destroyed. The shadows quickly rose from the barren land, unveiling the vivid glow of the sun. The sun Goddess and God were so overjoyed, they blessed Naomi with the gift of baring a child.
As the baby's time in her mother's stomach grew short, Naomi gave birth to the first child of Earth.
The baby was raised by the two women, and knew no other place as home. The sun God and Goddess, their hearts heavy with regret of their treatment of the moon God and Goddess, spent eternity distributing warmth upon Naomi's family in effort forgive themselves for their own wrongdoings. Their light allowed life to flourish on Earth.
Even though the Gods and Goddesses could never come into contact again, the sun God sent pieces of their home to lie upon the night sky as an apology of causing the moon God and Goddess to depart from them. The moon God and Goddess were extremely grateful of this gesture, and had forgiven them, though the sun God and Goddess would never know.
The moon God and Goddess wept as nights past, in remembrance of Naomi and Iris, sending water to Earth whilst quenching the thirst of the blooming plants.
As time flew by, the small family grew larger, plants flourished, and the barren Earth became a home for life to thrive.
During nightfall, Iris gleamed with joy as the clouds disparted and displayed the luminous glow of the moon. Iris hoped her parents were alive, watching over her and that they could know of her life, her family.
The moon God and Goddess wanted to believe their daughter had lived on. Each night, maybe to simply console their own weary hearts, they would rotate the moon ever so slightly, notifying Iris of their survival.
The love for each other had fueled the actions that allowed the Earth to become as full of exotic life and elegance as it remains forever and always, until the end of time.
