Vixen woke up as sun filtered through the bush and she got up to stretch, arching her back. Maybe today I can check out what I saw up in the trees. She thought and glanced back at her shoulder. The wound bled again throughout the night and it was a little inflamed, the skin around it being pink and puffy. Yeah.. I'm going today. Maybe some cat will know what to do with this, and she crawled out from the bush. Her stomach growled as she started to head off. She spotted a mouse on the edge of the forest and leapt at it. This time Vixen landed squarely on the mouse's shoulders and swiftly killed it with a bite to the neck. She quickly ate the mouse, curiosity keeping her from staying in the forest. Vixen needed help, if she didn't find a cat who knew about herbs then she was going to be in serious trouble.

Trekking through the long grass, brushing her belly fur, Vixen made her way to the black, straight stream with the gliding bugs over it. From the tree the "bugs" were so small but now as she approached the thing, she could hear humming and roaring from the bugs. So she poked her head from a bush and one sped by on big, black, round paws. Vixen jumped back and put back her ears to block out the loud rumble while shaking out grit that had made its way into her fur. I need to be careful, who knows what these monsters can do.. She thought as she made her way down the black river, keeping to the side of the bushes away from the road.

Vixen made her way down and by sun down she approached the mass of oddly shaped rocks. She looked around and everything was so new to her as she tasted the air. She soon shut her mouth as all the new scents made her feel light headed as she padded to a wooden fence and climbed on top of it. She didn't really know what to do with a big place like this but kept on padding through the Twolegplace.

Climbing down into an alleyway with puddles of water and the only light given was from the square clear glass from the Twoleg nests. She narrowed her eyes to adjust to the dim light. As her eyes started to make out figures she heard a noise and pawsteps. She turned towards the noise but was barreled over by a cat. "What are you doing here?." The cat growled into her ear and dug its claws into her shoulders, causing her injured one to bleed once more. Vixen yowled in pain and tried to push the body off with anger and fear running through her body. She looked at the figure pinning her down, and hated herself from not being big enough to push him off. The cat was muscular, a tom, with amber eyes and black, with orange patches all over him. "I'm just trying to find my way out." She said as she squirmed under him. "You're no older than a kit! How could you possibly find your way out of here?" He asked with a look of anger. She returned the look, "You don't look so old yourself!" She spat back at him and Vixen felt him lighten his grip on her. She quickly kicked him in the stomach, pushing off of him and got up. She turned around and jumped out of his way. "Who are you?" She asked him as she crouched down with muscles bunched, ready to give it her best if he attacked. To her surprise the cat just sat down and curled his tail over his paws and looked at Vixen. "I believe I should be the one asking that question.. After all. You are in my territory." He said quietly just enough for her to hear. 'He's trying to scare me..' Vixen thought as she looked at the figure, "My name is Vixen. I don't mean any harm just.. Want something for my shoulder." Vixen meowed as she turned to show him her shoulder. The shoulder was now bleeding again from the attack and the tom got up to get a closer look. She backed away from him as he got closer, "I just want to see it." He growled and Vixen let him get closer. 'I mean if someone just attacked you, you wouldn't have the greatest of trust with them would you?' She thought sarcastically as he sniffed the wound. "It's infected a little bit but nothing too bad. Surprised you can still walk on it." He said. Vixen shrugged, "If it starts bleeding I don't walk.. I don't do anything actually." She said as he started to turn away. "Where are you going?" She asked and he flicked his tail for her to follow. As she followed him he looked back at her, "The names Ajax. We're going to get something to help that wound of yours." He mewed and turned his head back around to pad into the shadows of the alley way.
