Hello.... Who are you???

Gen's POV

Today is the day our neighbours are moving in and I'm quite excited because all this time I've been so lonely and did not have anyone to talk to (apart from my so-called sisters).

I wonder what he will look like and if I'll become friends with him. I picture him in my head as tall as the sky and sexy as hell. suddenly I heard a noise at my door and I was distracted from my thoughts (which I did not like). suddenly the door was opened without my permission. my big sister Jess was stood at the door to tell me that lunch was ready.

Jess: Yo, lunch is ready my lonely sister!

Me: Firstly..."there's this thing called "knocking" maybe you should try that and secondly I am NOT lonely! But thanks anyways for your notification Jess. I said in anger for no reason.

Jess: And there's this thing called locking...maybe if you tried that in the first place I would have knocked. she replied with a high pitched voice.

Me: I did not lock the door but it was closed, so get your facts right hun.

Jess: I came in here with a good vibe to do you a favour but you just had to ruin it...IDIOT! You need to learn some manners.

Me: whatever, just get out of my room! I said to her while getting up to go and eat my lunch. I'm always like this to her even though she's always nice and polite to me. I've got mood swings that changes every time.

Few minutes later
Me, Jess and my mum were sitting on the dining table eating quietly without talking, which I needed because I was avoiding to have any conversation with any of my family. Jess was giving me deadly looks but I just rolled my eyes at her avoiding any trouble. Few seconds later, my mum cleared her throat and stared at me.

Mum: What's going on with you two girls??? my mum asked.

Jess: Nothing...your so called daughter is just being moody today...Jess said while looking at me.

Mum: Anyways...have you guys seen_

My mum was cut off by the doorbell. I looked at Jess to go and open it but she gave me that look of "I'm not getting up", so I got up to go and open the door. When I reached the door, I looked through the peep hole to check who it was before I'll get murdered. As I did, I saw this tall and handsome guy with blue eyes standing outside the snow with waiting patiently for response.
In no time I opened the door.

Me: Hello...who are you?

unknown: Hello...it's me...your new neighbour...

Me: oohh...hi my name is Genevieve but you can call me Gen for short. I said while adjusting my messy hair which was a really bad impression.

Unknown: Hey Gen, I'm Rafael by the way....and I was wondering if I could have a time out with you...

Me: umm...well..I'm not planning to go out today at all.. but you you are welcome to come in if you want.

Rafael: oh,yea sure...I mean how can I reject someone like you? he said and I blushed a bit.

I let Rafael inside and closed the door. He was looking around the house then he turned around to face me. I motioned at him to follow me to the dining hall. As we entered the dining room, mum and Jess stopped whatever they were doing when they noticed us.

Jess: Umm...Who's this? she asked while looking at Rafael in confusion.

Me: This is Rafael, our new neighbour. I said in a very low voice almost a whisper because I was so embarrassed!

Mum: hey Rafael, how are you doing and your mum?

Rafael: I'm good and my mum is doing great...what 'bout you Mrs Harris?

Mum: I'm doing great thank you and welcome. Mum said with a big grin on her face standing next to the fridge and I think she has seen Rafael and his mum before because of her confident behaviour.

Me: Mum..do you know each other?! I asked my mum in confusion.

Mum: Yea..his mum and I work together.

Whaaat!!??? Me and Jess asked in unison.
