"WAKEY WAKEY EVERYONE", Sam's voice echoed through our bedroom, rattling us awake. Dean and I both shot into the sitting position scanning the room to find the danger, only finding Sammy standing there in the doorway once our eyes adjusted.I grabbed the sheets and covered most of my bare skin, hoping Sam hadn't seen much in the making. A smug grin was plastered across his face, and a pissy look on Dean's.
I was mostly confused, yet Sam seemed oddly excited for something. He had a mass of papers crumpled in his hand that rested on the door frame. Oh no.
I knew what this was, he'd found a case. A case that was probably greatly important, something that interested him in incredible ways. He looked completely overjoyed at the fact he found something to distract him from life's current issues.
"Sam we don't have time for a case, we've only been home two days." He laid back down, a sigh leaving his lips, "We've got bigger fish to fry."
"Do we Dean?" Sammy's tone became rude, "we've got no lead on Amara and Cas hasn't been making much progress either. There's nothing more to do than waste some damned time."
I glanced around searching for the clock, noticing the time. "Sam seriously it's six a.m. what the hell could be so important?"
"What's it matter that it's early?" Sam put his hands on his hips, "We've all done more with less sleep."
"Sam I just got done with the insomnia, it'd be nice to have a couple days to lay around and do nothing." I settled a pillow in my lap, grasping it in my arms. I wasn't really sure what I was saying, I just really wanted to go back to sleep. The last thing I wanted was yelling
"Okay," Sam huffed with a laugh, "I get it, but if we're laying around for the rest of the weekend you two are going to stop screwing and come out of this bedroom and actually do what we all do best and research cold leads. So wakey wakey." He put extra emphasis on the last words before exiting and closing the door behind him.
I groaned loudly and slammed my body back into the laying position, tossing the pillow I was holding into the floor. The only light from before was coming from the open door, now closed it slowly diminished and faded back to black.
Dean made a gruff sound, catching my undivided attention. I slung my leg over his body along with my arms, earning a small breathy laugh.
"I don't wanna get up Dean but I really don't wanna sit here and reread what we already know about the darkness and all that jazz. A case can't hurt I guess, maybe we should humor him." I kissed his shoulder.
"All he wants to do is go go go and I don't get why, he used to love coming home and now it's like it's more of a job being at the bunker than on the road." He shook his head.
"It takes his mind off things Dean, it clears my mind, too. I wouldn't mind taking the case, just if we leave tomorrow afternoon. We can have some down time then get with it and pacify Sammy for a little while."
He nudged me and opened his arms, "climb aboard." Nerd. I straddled his waist, most of the sheets still coving my chest. He ran his hands up my legs, rubbing his fingers across my skin.
"Okay, we'll take the case but we aren't going anywhere for the rest of the day and Sam can't make us." He leaned up and wrapped is arms around my body, hugging me close. My hands went straight to his hair.
"Do you want to get up and tell him we're going?" I pressed my lips to his forehead.
"Nah he'll come back when he gets bored." He laughed and kissed my collar. We laid back down cuddled together.
"My ass still hurts from the last 6 hour drive." He complained lightly.
"Oh baby boy you'll live"
