chapter 15:her "voice"

Skylers POV
OMG IM GONNA BE ON THE VOICE IN 5 DAYS IM SO HAPPY
I got up and ran to take a shower
Once I got out I dried my hair and kept it wavy, then I put on

Then I jogged out of my room and to Nashs room
"NASH" I yelled as I walked in
he looked up from his phone
"yes?"
"I need to go shopping for a dress and a microphone today" I stated
"why do you need a microphone they will give you one, plus we have magcon ones" he said
"because if you have your own they let you use it and I want a pretty one" I smiled
He laughed a little then said he would be down in 5
I decided to go say hi to Hayes
I walked into his room
"hey buddy" I said smiling
"hi Mrs.Singer" he smiled back
"I'm going to the store with Nash, wanna come?" I asked
"sure I'll be down in 5"
My brothers take almost no time at all to get ready
I went down stairs and made three bowls of cereal, leaving the milk out because Hayes doesn't like milk and Nash and I like to wait till we are ready to put the milk in
They both came down and sat down at the table I was already eating, cause I take longer then them to do that too Nash poured his milk and Hayes just dug right in
"thanks Sky" Hayes said while eating
"yeah thanks" Nash agreed
"welcome" I said after a swallowed my bite so I didn't talk while my mouth was full
anyway...
After we were done we all got into Nashs car and drove to the music store first
I bought a white Bluetooth microphone, with Bluetooth speakers and some gold microphone rhinestones
I paid and we went back to the car and headed to the dress store
You will see the dress I bought later
I got a new curler and some more Bobby pins also
Then we went to lunch and headed home
All the guys were on the couch either watching TV or looking at their phones
"hello" I smiled
Nash and Hayes set my bags on the counter
"okay I'm going to sing three songs and you guys are gonna vote on the one I do" I told them
Cameron muted the TV and everyone put their phones away
I sang Shawn's song, "imagination "
Vance Joys, "riptide"
and Tori Kelly's "should've been us"
After every song they clapped then I gave everyone a sticky note and they all voted
Imagination got 3
Riptide got 2
Should've Been Us got 5
"I'm doing should've been us" I stated while smiling wide
"IM GONNA GO CALL KATIE" I squealed
I found Katie's contact dialed it and told her the song I'm doing and to invite Jaxon and of course herself for me
Then I called Jonah and told him he was invited
I decided to practice my song so I could hit every note perfectly

Everyone is ready to leave its 5pm and mom, Johnnie, Skylynn, and will have flown out here Katie, Jonah, and Jaxon are also here
All the guys have Black Tuxs on with Royal Blue ties to match my dress except Jaxon he has a white tie to match Katie's dress
Here are our dresses

My long hair is curled and and left alone to flow beautifully down my back and chest all the way down to my waist
"alright everyone to the limo" My mom yelled
I grabbed my mic off the counter and ran out to the limo
We got in and arrived at the studio in minutes
My family got to stay back with me but everyone else had to go find their seats
it is my turn in about 10 minutes
I spent those 10 minutes that felt like hours hugging Hayes and he rubbed my back
Finally it's my turn

I walked to the middle of the stage and turned on my mic

Hayes ran on stage and bear hugged me. He kissed my cheek then ran off stage

"no, that's my twin brother Hayes" I laughed
"oh, well that was sweet"
I smiled
"what's your name?" Adam asked
"Skyler Grier" I replied
"and how old are you Skyler?"
"fourteen, I'll be fifteen next month"
"wow, really, so young and so talented" Blake beamed
"thank you" I smiled ear to ear
"do you have any other family or friends here?" Pharrell asked
"yes"
"would you like to bring them out here? you did great I'm sure they are ready to give you a huge hug" he smiled
wow they never do this
"there's a lot of them" I laughed warning him
"that's alright the more the merrier" he said
My family came on stage
"this Hayes my twin" Hayes put his arm around me "my older brother Nash, my oldest brother Will, my mom, my step dad, and my half sister Skylynn" I finished
"any friends in the audience?" Pharrell asked
"yes"
"bring them up"
they all came up
Adam laughed "yeah that's a LOT" he said
"yep" I agreed
"alright here we go... this is Cameron, Jack Gilinsky, Jack Johnson, Taylor, Shawn, Aaron, Matt, Carter, they are my bestfriends and we go on tour with them, and this is Katie my best girl friend, Jaxon her boyfriend and one of my goodfriends, and my boyfriend Jonah" I finished laughing
"well it's nice to meet all of you, and you all are acquainted with a very talented and beautiful young girl" Christina smiled
"let's pick your team" Adam said
I thought for a minute
"I love and respect you all but I'm gonna have to go with Adam" I smiled
He came and gave me a big hug
"thank you, we will see you soon" Blake said
I walked off stage and hugged everyone
"we're so proud of you" mom said
"thanks" I smiled wide
"okay leggo watch the rest of the show" Nash said picking me up, we walked to our seats and finished the show
