Chapter Two
Two Years Later
Office in the Pentagon
“Bastian and his crew did it, two years instead of the estimated five now the only issue we have is sending them home.” Broderick captain of the Black Ops Bravo team spoke in a grave voice.
“Normally we would have killed them off, hell they were all supposed to die there in Germany and Argentina you team was back up but like always Bastian surprises the fuck out of all of us.” Jameson director of the Black Ops spoke his voice holding a hint of both pride and astonishment.
“What’re we going to do? Just send them home and say ‘hey honey remember how you thought these last two years I was dead? Well the government wanted me to lie, I was supposed to die but I survived.’” Broderick finished off sarcastically.
“Why yes Broderick that is exactly what we are going to do.” Jameson sent out the order that Alpha team was going home.
Some met the news with happiness others with sadness a few knew that this would kill their marriges and any relationship they had with their kids, a few hoped that it wouldn’t some like Bastian anticipated going home and hoped like most that their loved ones would receive them with open arms. Only time will tell.
Isa POV
Two years, five days and three hours. I count every passing moment the ache in my heart increases tenfold every time I realize that he isn’t coming home, that I would never feel him holding me, kissing me or loving me ever again. His brother Darius and Max are an ever constant reminder, Isabella constantly cries and at two still holds the hope that her papa is coming back. While I waste away; I am aware that I no longer take care of my children and let my mother do most of it and occasionally Darius. I was weak but without Bastian my rock, how couldn’t I be anything but weak.
Bastian claimed I was the strong one but it was lie he was the strong one. He made me scared when I first met him. In the beginning our love was nonsense. He was a Russian soldier and then an American soldier. I was a Latina female meant to marry Adolfo, a young Dominican man who owned a few bodegas and made a good living. He was supposedly my ideal match and one of the most sought out guys. He wanted me but I didn’t want him, I was willing to try for my mama who wanted me to be secured with a good man, her mind perpetually stuck in the old ways.
I walked into Adolfo’s bodega expecting to see him instead I see my Bastian. Standing at an intimidating height of six foot five he towered over my petite five foot four. His stormy grey eyes captured me from the moment he laid eyes on me. I was a challenge so of course he would have to fight for me and fight he did. Until he won me over and everyone else be damned.
“Tell me Isa why do you deny me so diligently?” Bastian asked for the hundredth time.
“Bas darling why can’t you face the fact that you can never have me.” I whispered in his ear teasingly.
“Ahh my Isa but I already do.” With that he captured my lips with his and brought me into an earth shattering kiss. Whenever he kissed me the world disappeared. My knees weakened, my core throbbed and my body became a live wire. I loved his kisses something that I would never admit to him it was too much fun to tease him. His rough hands travelled lower, grabbed my ass forcing me to wrap my legs around him, I broke the kiss.
“You’re so big.” I whispered.
“In more ways that won.” He teasingly said back. We didn’t go far we simply kissed, teased, and talked. I would give anything to have that moment again.
“Mama” Mas said breaking me from my thoughts.
“Yes darling.” I tried to smile at my son but my lips wouldn’t form it. I knew I hurt him with my doom and gloom attitude but I simply didn’t know how to move on.
“Will is having a birthday party on Saturday can I go?” Max eyes widened up with excitement of going to a party.
“Ok sweetheart I’ll take you there.” Max ran away to share his excitement with the world. I knew Will’s mother who like me lost her husband in the service. We part of an army wives group, a support system for females with boyfriend, brothers, husbands and sons.
I joined recently just a few months back and though it soothed some of the ache to talk about it, when I came home and laid in my empty bed the tears came back. I would simply remember Bastian holding me at night.
I pushed away the dark thought and set off on my day making one day at a time and one day when my responsibility with my children was done I would join my Bastian.
Bastian
Hunger ambushed him when he saw Isa leave their home. His cock swelled to a painful, immediate erection, his mouth watered for the taste of her, the scent of her body made him sweat, made his balls draw up in lust. Two fucking years without his Isa it was moments like these when he saw he shake her ass, sway her hips and bite her plump lips that kept him alive in those remote god forsaken places.
He was steps away from hidden in the shadows, a few steps and he would be right beside her but he wouldn’t risk it. He hadn’t gotten his free man papers. Papers that would state the military no longer required his services; they would leave him the fuck alone to spend the rest of his life with his family.
He had missed her every fucking day he had been away. There wasn’t a moment he hadn’t checked his computer and hacked into the satellites to his children play, his Isa throw in a rare smile, and those day where she would cry herself to sleep, those were always difficult to watch knowing the he couldn’t simply crawl into bed and hold her in his arms.
“It’s almost done.” John’s voice echoed through the radio. Anticipation hummed in my veins finally after so long he would be able to see her.
“I’ll just follow her for now.” I needed to assimilate myself in her life in the most productive way much had changed in her life and there have been instances that the wife wouldn’t accept their husband with Isa divorce was not an option.
I saw her leave the apartment and get into the car, turned on my GPS tracking system and set off following her. She still did much of the same her routine had not much, she was still the same. Except now she left Isabella in a day care center. She had grown so much in the years that I have been gone. No longer was she the baby that simply wanted her papa. Now she was a little beauty who seemed to already have the little boys wrapped around her little finger, I guess warding them off would have to start early. She dropped Max off to school. His eyes looked lonely and I saw he didn’t greet anyone when he went to school, something I will have to have a talk with my son. I followed Isa to her job, her smile was empty though, and my happy crazy wife was gone.
A/N so tell me how you liked. I simply want to show the motions that Isa has gone through and how much his family had changed .
