"RUN," someone in the crowd shouted, running and jostling the rest of the crowd at the circus on this brisk evening, "HE'S COMING FOR US!" I looked around to see what she was running from.
Then I saw him. He was a man running around the circus, looking for young children. He wore a black robe and he had wolverine claws on his hands. Two things went through my mind. "OMG, he's coming for me!" and "What kind of fashion sense is that?" I ran and hid inside a tent, jostling people as I ran.
While I was hiding, seconds felt like minutes and minutes felt like hours. After a little while, everything got quiet. A little too quiet. I held my breath, waiting for something to happen...waiting...waiting.
Suddenly, the flap flew open! For a split second, I froze, staring at him in terror.
All I could do was run. I ran all around the tent so that the opening was open for me to shoot out. "Come here you little snot!" he yelled at me in his deep, scraggly voice. I ran...and ran...and ran. Suddenly, I tripped. I tried to get up, but realized I couldn't because I had broken my ankle. The man came closer and closer until he was just a few feet away from me.
I started to feel the pain in my ankle now. It a burning, stinging pain that felt as if it was coming in waves, pulsing the entire time. Teers started gushing from my eyes, partly from the invigorating pain in my ankle and partly because I was about to die.
All of a sudden, I saw a flaming asteroid shooting down rapidly from the sky. Just my luck, the asteroid; which was about the size of my bedroom window; landed on the man's head. He fell to the ground, unconscious.
I dialed 911, my hands shaking and my ankle killing me. Soon, the police and ambulance showed up, just as the man was starting to regain consciousness. The last words I remember hearing before I passed out were "Samuel F. Sanarro, what a loser. Why would he hurt kids?"
A messed up psycho, I thought.
THE END...
