"Facetime me everyday and keep me up to date on everything! Promise me you won't replace me?" My best friend says into my shoulder as we said our final goodbyes.

"I will and tell me about all the gossip I'm going to miss. Watch over Poppy for me okay?" I cry into her red hair. She nods and pulls back to look at me with a tearful smile. My dad was waiting in the security line while Carter and I said goodbye before he and I moved across the Atlantic.

"You should probably go get in line with your dad," Carter sobs, "I love you, whore ."

"I love you too, bitch."

I laugh at our usual goodbyes, that only ever lasted until the next day. But these were real goodbyes, I wouldn't be seeing my best friend in person for a very long time.

"Go before I start to cry," She says, hugging me one last time. I smile and walk over to my father just in time to go through the metal detector. I turn back around as I walk through and wave to her with tears streaming down my face.

The female guard standing on the other side of the gate gives me a sad smile, "Think of it as a I'll see you later, not a goodbye."

I nod at her words and collect my things at the end of the conveyer belt. We get to the gate just as they start to board the plane; soon enough we are taxiing down the runway for take off.

"I know you'll miss everyone honey, but I'm glad you wanted to move with me," My father says from the aisle seat while I watched the flight line speed by. The wheels leave the ground and we were off. I dont look away from the window until the skyline of New York City is fading into nothing. Finding a comfortable sleeping position I put in my head phones and click on my playlist. I guess my music was too loud because my father quickly taps my shoulder with an annoyed look, not to mention he hates the song playing, but its my favorite, Teenage Dirt Bag. My entire playlist was made up of "rock" songs from the classics, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Aerosmith, ACDC, and a bunch more. Who could blame me my uncle was a famous rock singer.

I must've fallen asleep halfway through the flight, I woke to my father shaking my shoulder.

"Kih (K-eye) honey we're about to descend," My father says, taking one of my head phones out.

"Really? ....Wow its amazing Dad!" I say, practically sticking my face to the window. The city of London slowly grows in front of us, I excitedly point to Big Ben and the London Eye.

"I know the divorce was hard on you honey but London is a new start for both of us!" My dad smiles at me, we walk out of the gate and-.....damn this airport is big!

"You want some coffee honey?" My father offers as we walked past a Starbucks. I turn down his offer, too intrigued by the huge crowd of girls and what looked like reporters making a scene a little ways down the terminal.

"Welcome to the UK were it's just as crazy as America! Completely not like it is in movies!" I scoff as we follow the signs to baggage claim.

My father is a pilot for the US air force and recently was given orders to RAF Croughton base. My mother and younger sister are still back in the states, but I couldn't give up this opportunity. My mom and dad got divorced about a year ago, so of course my dad jumped at the offer to live across the ocean. When we arrived at the hotel a few girls were outside, with signs and were singing some off tune song. My father, in his military uniform for travel purposes, pushed through the crowd and into the main lobby, straight to the counter. A man in a hotel uniform came up to the counter with an angry and annoyed expression.

"Sorry but only guest are allowed in the building. And that means a previous reservation. You can try the hotel three blocks from here," the man scoffs. My dad gave me a look that said watch me embarrass him.

"Sir, I'm Commander David (Da-v-ee-d), this is my daughter Kih. We have a room here, RAF Croughton Air force base is covering it. Should be a suite," My dad said in his commander, military voice. I stifled my laugh as the blood rose to the man's cheeks. He hurried away and brought back two keys and then handed me a blue card. After he checked us in and went over all the hotel stuff, my dad left to find the elevator.

The man, probably in his mid-twenties, smiled to me before adding, "This comes with your suite... Its a platinum multipurpose card to the water park, free card in the arcade, and also gets you into...a teen club. Its really cool but very secret. Here," he hands me a brochure, "read that. Don't show anyone."

"Cool. Thanks."

He was already gone helping other guests. My dad must have already taken the elevator up to the room because when I get there I only find a blond boy waiting for the doors to open a bit paranoidly. When the elevator arrives he is hesitant to be riding up with me. I reached across him to press the top floor, 24. He doesn't press a floor number, maybe he was on the same floor as me. I notice a slight shocked expression and then annoyance register in his stunning blue eyes but it was gone as fast as it had appeared. I decide to introduce myself, maybe he'll relax a bit... We still have 20 more floors to go up.

"Hi I'm Kih! I just moved in on the top floor. What's your name?" I say only to receive a questioning look from him. "Did you see the crowd of girls out there? Crazy, right! I mean today when I arrived in the airport the same thing. Girls and reporters," I continue.

Suddenly his head flies back as he begins laughing uncontrollably; he had a very adorable laugh.

"Niall, my name's Niall. Yes, it's definitely crazy out there ....I wonder what they're here for?" He was still laughing uncontrollably. He sounded sarcastic but I wasn't sure. I was expecting a British accent not the Irish one that complimented his look perfectly. The elevator dinged and the doors opened to the 24th floor. He let me go first then walked out behind me.

"It was lovely meeting you Kih."

"You too Niall..." I respond as I unlock my door.

Whoa, the room was huge. The kitchen and dining room connected to form a large space, the living area was bigger then I expected, a hot tub was built into the floor near the living area, and two doors on either side on the room. I found my luggage on the king size bed in the room to the left, my new room for the next two years, I even had my own bathroom with a huge jet bath and walk in closet.

"So you like your room honey?" My dads voice called from the door. I answer him with a very excited yes and begin to unpack my clothes and other items I brought on the plane with me. After I finish unpacking I happily use the giant shower in my room. I slip on a hoodie and underwear and crawl into my bed. Taking in my new room once more I notice the clock on the nightstand. How is it already midnight!
