The day started out like any other day at Tantasqua High School, boring, my friends Cassidy and Erin and myself were walking to our first class of the day on the second floor down the tech hallway, when we were stopped in the hallway by a young man. He looked to be a sophomore but we soon found out he was a freshmen just like us.
"Can you help me find the computer tech class?" he asked
"Are you looking for CAD or I.T.?" Erin asked
"I.T." He said
"Hey Lex he is in your class" Cassidy said
"Yea I'll show you were it is," I said "oh and my name is Alexa but you can call me Lex or Lexi, this is Erin and Cassidy,"
"Nice to meet you I am Peter, Peter Pan" he said, "I'm new here so I don't know my way around yet"
"That's ok you get to know it, can I see what other classes you have maybe I can show you where they are," I asked.
"Yea here is my schedule," he said handing me the schedule
Before I could finish reading it, the bell rang. I said bye to Erin and Cassidy and showed Peter to the way to the class. When we got in the class, I helped Peter find a seat then I finished looking at the rest of Peter's schedule, he had all the same classes as me. A day was tech, math, health, and science. Then on a B day tutorial, math, foundations of leadership, and science. I gave him back the schedule then I showed him what we were doing then I got to work doing what I was supposed to be doing. Before I knew it the bell rang for second period I walked out of class totally forgetting about Peter and the fact I was supposed to show him to his next class until I heard my name being called down the hallway.
"Alexa, Alexa wait up" a voice called
I turned and saw peter walking fast/ running down the hall. I stopped and waited for him. Just as Peter was coming up to me Erin and Cassidy turned the corner out of the tech hallway. Peter stopped to catch his breath.
"Can you show me to my next class?" he asked.
"Sure she can" Erin said answering the question for me "where are you going"
"4105, algebra 1 part 2" peter said
"Lex he has the same math class as us." Cassidy said
"I know I looked at his schedule remember now come on we have to get to class" I said as I headed for the stairs. Erin and Cassidy walked behind me flirting with Peter. We got into class a both Cassidy and Erin were fighting over where Peter should sit. What I thought was strange was that Erin had a boyfriend that probably would have been dumped by now if she wasn't fighting over Peter with Cassidy, and even if she had dumped her boyfriend she still had a creepy stalker to worry about. As they fought over what seat Peter should sit in Peter slowly walked away and found an empty seat next to me. The bell rang just before Erin and Cassidy realized the target of their argument was gone and had found his own seat. Our teacher walked in and taught us another boring factoring method. When I thought the class could not get any more boring the bell rang. I walked out of class and waited in the hall for Erin and Cassidy. Peter came out just behind me.
"Hey, Alexa do I go to lunch or my next block"
"Your next block and I can show you that too because I have the same class"
"Can we go now, but no offence your friends are strange." He said
"To be honest they are acting a whole lot Stanger than normal." I told him as we walked down the hall to our next class. When we got there, once again Peter found a desk right next to mine. I showed him what we were working on then our teacher came in. Today just so happened to be the day that we were watching a movie. So I asked if Peter and I could go into the hallway so I could explain to him what we were working on in that class. We were out in the hall for most of the class. I think we would have stayed out there for the whole class if it wasn't for our teacher who wanted to do another one of my her crazy lectures about what could happen to you if you use drugs. So for the last ten minutes we sat through the lecture. Once the bell rang for lunch, we walked down the hall. I noticed something while we were walking down the hall. Peter seemed a bit nervous, I figured it was because he was still getting used to the school. We walked into the cafeteria and I told Peter he could sit next to me. I introduced him to my other friends and we all sat and talked about our days and whatever other crap people through into the conversation. Before we knew it, lunch was over. "Last class" I told Peter "you've almost made it through your first day at Tantasqua".
"Yea no kidding this day has been so long," he said in response.
"Peter, Peter, Peter" we heard a voice call from behind us.
We turned around and Erin was running down the hall like a puppy running to its master. We waited in the hall for Erin to catch up. Once she was with us, we all walked down the hall to science. When Peter and I got to our class, I told Peter to go in and talk to the teacher about being new then I pulled Erin aside. "Erin you need to relax I think you're scaring the new kid." I told " he brand new and he already has two girls fighting over him give him some space honestly"
"You like him and you want me to back off because I am competition unlike Cassidy so no way," she snapped
"Whoa, whoa, whoa I just met the kid and so did you and Cassidy. Now why the hell are you possibly screwing up your friendship with Cassidy because of a kid you just met. Besides, you have Andrew, your boyfriend. Or do you not remember him" I said as she glared at me the way she does when she know I am right. "Now would you go to class" she just marched away in anger.
"You got fire, I like fire" Pan said from behind me in that stupid British accent he had.
I turned around he seemed less nervous and more like he owned the place. He had a smug grin on his face and his eyebrow was doing something weird. I pushed passed him a walked into class. Then I noticed that the mean and annoying kid who used to sit next to was sitting in another seat. Peter walked right passed me and sat in the seat were the other kid use to sit and put his feet on the desk right where I was supposed to sit.
"Oh what is this your desk, the one that my feet are on" he said with that same smug look on his face.
I walked over to my desk and pushed his feet off it the second bell rang for class to begin. And it just so happened that today in science we were working on a lab and in the lab we had to have partners and I got stuck with Pan. I got sick of calling him Peter it sounded so formal and Pan was not a formal man. Throughout the whole class, Pan did nothing but flirt with me. I almost want to slam his pretty little smug face into the lab table but I knew Erin would slam my head into the table. So I dealt with it for the hour and a half that the class lasted. When class finally ended, I grabbed my stuff and took off out of the class. I thought I had made it away from Pan when he suddenly appeared next to me. "Where the hell did you come from" I asked him
"Does it matter?" he said, "I have a question to ask you".
"Ok what do you want?" I asked him.
"Will you go out with me?" he asked with that smug look once again on his face
"No way, because you are already driving a wedge between two of my friends and now I am slowly being dragged into it so I don't need you causing any more trouble between me and my friends. Besides don't you think it's a little weird that you would ask me on the very first day we met and your first day here at Tantasqua." I said. He just looked at me, by now we were down stairs in the lobby standing by one of the pillars that held up the balcony above us. "I gotta go my dad is waiting for me." As I turned he put his hand on my shoulder so I turned back to look at him.
"Will you think about it?" he asked
"Maybe, oh and by the way if you meet me on the fourth floor you will get my answer and I can show you to your class." I told him.
"Ok" he said
We both turned and headed for the front doors. As we got outside, he put his arm around my shoulders/ backpack. We walked between the busses to the parking lot where I saw my father leaning against his black pick up truck. Pan seemed to stop in his tracks when he saw my father, and my father seem to straighten up when he saw Pan. I said bye to Pan, walked over to my father, and got in to his truck. That was when the lecture began.
