I woke up early today because i didn't want to be late for school, I put my High tops on with black leggings and a black t-shirt with my red and black plaid long sleeve shirt tied around my waist. I went down stairs to grab my stuff to go to school and didn't even bother to wake sam up, father already left for work I grabbed a granola bar and climbed up the ladder to the roof after 20 minutes or so I herd a car pull up and darted my head in that direction, it was the same white van with that guy wearing nothing but a black shirt and a mask with sunglasses so i couldn't see his eyes. I knew it was guy because he was quite buff and had a muscular structure. He drove away after a couple minutes of staring as soon as he drove away i herd someone coming up the ladder, At first I thought it was Sam but it wasn't It was Aubrey.
"Hey."
"sorry am I intruding, I just thought...."
I cut her off
"No that is fine it doesn't bother me or my father it gives me someone to talk to, and father really wants me to finally get a friend to talk to."
"I thought you have a brother?"
"I do, we just aren't that close"
"Oh okay well do you want to head to school it takes about 10 minutes to get there."
She looked down at her watch
"Because its about 10 minutes till 7:00 and school starts at 7:08 That gives us time to go to our lockers when we get there and be seated it our classes by 7:08."
"okay lets go then"
we walked to school and took all of our stuff that we needed for class and sat in our homerooms, and the coolest thing is i have almost every class with Aubrey. we have math, science, Social studies, gym, art, music but we don't have ELA together. At lunch we sat together at the last table, It was going just fine until Three girls came over by us.
"Hi you guys are the new kids right"
"yeah"
"I'm Elsie and this is Aubrey"
"yeah I'm awear of that"
"But there's a problem here, your sitting in OUR seats!"
I looked around the room, there were plenty of other seats to sit in.
"well i'm sorry but can you please sit somewhere else we were here first"
"No this is our spot so GET OUT OF IT!"
Before I could say anything Aubrey got up and stood right in front of the girls and said
"No we were here first now please leave us alone, It is our first day here and we are trying to eat in peace."
As soon as that happened one of the girls punched Aubrey and another one started pulling her hair, I got straight up and ran straight for them I punched Two of them then I pulled one other girls hair until they quit fighting and ran away I darted my head towards Aubrey and she was in a corner curled up in a ball aching in pain. I helped her up and she and I limped our way to the nurse. But when we got there the girls were already in the office me and Aubrey got in trouble and the principle called our parents.
"Why did you do this?"
Sam said on the way home from school.
"I'm sorry they started attacking Aubrey so I fought back"
"Well don't do it again, because you could get kiked out of school and we don't have enough money to pay for another school."
I laid my head in my palms and started to cry
