Chapter Three

Don’t Touch What isn’t Yours

Noah

I reached forward and grabbed Adam’s hand bending it backwards until I heard a satisfying snap. No male touched my mate. Tess let out a little shriek and grabbed Adam. Adam looked to be on the verge of tears, he was holding his broken wrist to his chest tenderly.

“What the hell man?” He hissed at me.

Tess’s eyes were filled with worry, “Adam, is your hand alright?”

He shook his head, “I think it’s broken.” Tess reached forward and took Adam’s hand lightly in her own. This simple action made my wolf crazy. I reached forward and put my hands on her waist before yanking her backwards and away from Adam.

“What the hell are you doing! Who do you think you are!” She nearly screeched. She tried to pull away from me but my wolf and I wouldn’t let her. We only held onto her tighter.

“Let her go man!” Adam shouted at me.

I glared at him, “You’re lucky I only broke your wrist, it could have been a whole lot worse.”

Kate seemed confused by the whole situation, “Why are you acting like this Noah? It’s not normal to be so possessive before you’ve even claimed her.”

“Claimed her? What are you talking about?” Tess’s voice was high and panicked.

I tucked her hair behind her ear, “Don’t you worry about it love.” I didn’t realise I had called her love until it was already done. But it seemed so natural.

“Let go of my sister you freak.” It felt as though my heart dropped into my stomach. Adam was Tess’s brother? And I just broke his hand... I let go of Tess immediately and went over to Adam.

“Don’t worry, it’s just a fracture make sure to put some ice on it. And you might want to get a cast... sorry man. I’m Noah, Noah Blake.”

Adam sent me a weird look, “What’s with the personality change? You did a total three sixty.”

I growled warningly, “Would you like me to go back to how I was before?”

Adam swallowed and shook his head. “We have to go now Adam.” Tess said quietly, tugging on her brother’s arm.

Don’t let her leave. You just got her, now don’t lose her.

“Go? Where are you going?” I asked, my voice cracking with pain. She couldn’t leave.

Tess shot me a strange look, “I need to get back to my grandmother.”

“Why?” I asked her, staring straight into her beautiful eyes.

“What do you mean why? You carried me here, started licking me and then broke my brother’s wrist! Why would I want to stick around? I’m going before something even crazier happens.” Tess said, she started to walk away dragging her brother with her.

“Why would you want to leave though, you have me now.” Tess blinked a few times before she started to laugh.

“What are you talking about? I don’t know you, and I don’t feel like being with you anymore. I’d much rather forget that any of this ever happened.” She started walking away again but I grabbed her arm and pulled her to me.
