My friend were surrounding me, looking down with nervous and worried looks.

"Daren? You okay, babe?" I heard Jessica say to me. I immediately look up at her.

"I-I'm fine, sweetie," was all I could say before loosing my breath. Jessica helped me up and helped me regain my breath. She seriously looked worried, it kind of scared me.

"Ready, Daren?" I heard Daniel say.

"WAIT," I screamed out.  They all stood there and looked at me. "The fireworks..." I whispered and they all gave each other puzzled looks. I was already standing, so I ran over to the house.

"DAREN NO!" Jessica yelled. They all were screaming at me to come back. I didn't care. I HAD to save him. I couldn't stand to see that happen once again. My friends started running after me. I told them to stay there. They stood there and stared. I ran in, grabbed Jake and his parents and ran out of the building. Well, began to, then they ran out themselves. They ran over to where my friends are.

The house blew up in flames. I was in the house and went up in flames along with the house. The house was on fire, I was on the ground, rubble from the house on top of me. I was burnt all over, coughing from the dust. The rubble was really heavy. I could barely breath.

I shoved some of the rubble off the best I could. I slowly got out. I coughed a lot. Barely being able to breath, I found my way out. My friends were staring there, staring at me. I look and I realize that my arm is broken. No wonder why it hurt when I tried to use it. Ouch, now I could REALLY feel the pain.

I held my left arm, the one I broke. My friends came over to me and Jake and his parents stood there watching.

"Are you okay, Daren?" Jessica asked, putting her arm around me. I was breathing heavily, just trying to catch my breath. I got dust into my lungs and it was really affecting me, as I could see. My friends kept staring at me and asking if I was okay.

"I'm fine, guys," I told them. Jake and his parents came over to me. "Thank you, Thank you so much," they told me. I  smiled and nodded. "Anytime," I said.
