So imagine you are at home...alone. Best of all, you could do whatever you want. Things you aren't supposed to do. Like going into the basement. But 13 year old Caleb did.

Caleb creeped down stairs staring into the darkness. His hands were waving in the darkness searching for the bottom step. He had a small, but foreboding thought of traps swimming through his head. Coincidentally, he heard a small click and the eerie sound of the door swung shut. Suddenly,a tiny darts flew out of nowhere and pierced through Caleb's arm. He cried in pain, falling onto the floor. The world of blackness was spinning around him as he felt more and more drowsy. As Caleb passes out, mysterious people lift him up and put him in a their van. As the toxins fade away, Caleb woke and found himself in a clear, glass room. He is tied securely to a bed. Through the window he sees the guards fending off a dark, masked attacker. He runs up to the box while dodging enemy fire, then a guard tackles him. As Caleb sees him getting hauled away and the glint of his eyes. Then he hear a click of a door, and the masked man laughing insanely, and a white clothed man enters the box. Caleb asks him who he his. He does not respond. Then after a few minutes he says,

"I am Kalus. You are here for your abilities."

"What abilities?" Caleb asks.

He replies after another few minutes with a horrible grunt. He senses the monotonous tone and body language. Caleb surmises Kalus is an android and slowly wriggles his hands out of the bindings. The he grabs a scalpel and saws through the leg bindings. Then Caleb uses the scalpel to disable the core processer by stabbing the androids neck joint. He tries to escape the glass door but is electronically locked. Then he realizes that android has a key card. Caleb grabbed the key card and unlocked the door. Sneakily he tried to access the prison cells to free the attacker and find out how he knew him. As he sneaks down to the cell block a security drone sounds the alarm and it races past him. When it comes to a halt Caleb throws the scalpel at it,finding home and disabling it. The drone spins away and activates a sensor. Then the doors burst open with a dozen armed guards.

The guards try to shoot him not knowing who he was but were able to get out of their way quickly. When he finds a crevice he tries to blend into the wall since he is in white and his pants are gray, making him blend in with the paint jobs. After the guards cluelessly run past, he spots a key card left carelessly on a tabletop and uses it to unlock the attackers cell which was through the doors. The attacker did not look up and he wouldn't speak. Caleb asks him who those people were and why they wanted him. Before the other man could answer he asked,

"Why did they mention an ability that I have?"

The hooded person tells him that the genes in his body are able to withstand the forces of time travel. Together they fight their way out of the building.

4 Years later

As Caleb walked through the outpost everybody greeted him since it was his birthday. He was going to meet his friend, Sam. Sam was the fellow who Caleb single-handedly rescued from the facility some years ago. Since then they have always hung out together. Sam was also his mentor in the Time Assassin trials. He had completed most of them and was graduating next week, but he had one last trial and he knew it wasn't physical. He wasn't even sure if it was a trial. When he arrived at Sam's quarter's he saw him and sat down with him.Caleb asked him why he needed him. Sam replied with a "cheerful" we need to talk cliche. He told Caleb that he was officially a Time Assassin. They were also going to launch an attack on the facility. The head of the Order of Time wanted him to pull of the espionage part of the mission so he carried it out.

Facility

When Caleb had dropped on to their roof he instinctively darted to a wall, but apparently the place is Caleb-proof. The so-called walls were actually tinted windows so he couldn't blend into the walls. The guards were actually competent and shot through the glass with their rifle's. Now the guards weren't competent and they didn't have their assault rifles loaded so he could hear them loading it and jumped out of the way.The glass exploded into a million pieces and the guards couldn't comprehend that he had leaped out of the way. This allowed Caleb to sneak up from behind and knock them out. He needed to be wary because the alarms were sounded so he did a run-and-jump off the wall and onto a crossbeam under the ceiling, swung and leaped from crossbeam to crossbeam until he came to a staircase. He slid down to the ground and quietly ran to the bottom.Once again he jumped onto a crossbeam and was once again slipping back and forth. The next room he discovered was the same room he had been held in several years ago.Caleb noticed on the floor below he there were several bullet marks and the blemish where the drone had fallen and broken the ground. Caleb noticed several differences. It was now a constuction area.It was also a launch area for some sort of device. He crept on slowly against the wall as he turns the corner a guard ambushes he twists the arm and kicks him in the stomach. Then he knocks him out using his pressure point behind the ear.

Caleb decides to leave since he has all the information he needs.

The Next Day 3:58 p.m

San Francisco outpost

The Order called a meeting...about Caleb. After the information he conveyed to the orders chairman or generals they wanted to stage a war but several more actions needed to be taken. Caleb was the head of these new course of actions. The order assembled a strike team of 5 people... with specific roles. Caleb was the assault 1 Sam was the assault 2 then there was a demolisher, a recon, and a sniper, so basically a renegade group of special forces assassins. The council members issued them with gear along with the right to switch roles at any given moment. On the other hand... they had more training.

Order training facility 4:27 PM

Caleb and and his team consisting of some of the deadliest Order assassin's,some of them even ex-special forces mercenaries, came to do military tactics courses. So yes they didn't have to do any physical training. Caleb, being the perfectionist he is,ordered that everybody do weapons training on the battlefield. It's a type of practice arena. Sam came to tell him that once they finished they had the clearance to head over to San Francisco where the outpost was. The order had a "surprise".

San Francisco Outpost 2:37 AM

They well... declared war, yay for Caleb. Shooty shooty bang bang and the underdogs win after 5 years and our hero loses his friend yeah well this isn't Captain America (and before anybody asks this isn't going to turn into a Winter Soldier type of story). So back to the story, our team is being sent on a recon mission like Caleb just went through a few days ago except this time Caleb's team would be parachuting in, not stealth coptered in like last time. Before they left Holly, the youngest member of the council and only a year younger than Caleb, told him to be careful. I think she has a thing for him.

San Francisco facility 4:12 AM

The night shift was almost over and the head guard was doing his final rounds before he left for home in downtown San Francisco. He noticed a slight flicker in the light around the corner. Before this he was in the army, he was prone to noticing things. He headed down to the corner and the last thing he heard before he woke up again was...lights out my curious cat.

An hour later

Caleb slapped the guard two or three times to wake him up. Being knocked from behind the ear had these effects on people. The guard woke up and picked up right where he left of an hour ago and tried to punch Caleb's titanium reinforced kevlar vest. Sam blocked it because it was so sudden and because they didn't want him to break his hand. They needed him to provide information about the facility because all Caleb had seen was a big construction bay and maybe a few memories. The guard refused to tell, the typical soldier in him, Caleb pulled out the pistol. They asked again, he refused, Caleb pulled the trigger.
