Chapter 4

UCSF Medical center

When Caleb awoke he was lying in a bed,leg elevated and and monitors beeping around him. About 10 minutes later Holly burst through the door with a worried look on her face. She was clearly aware as to what happened as the bombing was on international news. As for the soldiers involved in the bombing,well they were let off since traces of a mind controlling agent was found in their blood.But for Holly this development was enraging. Those soldiers must have let themselves be injected according to her. So Holly was worried that those soldiers would be back to trouble her "boyfriend". So as she entered the room she immediately told Caleb that the soldiers would be back. Caleb stared at Holly puzzled at what she said since he had worked with many soldiers. Holly,rolling her eyes,said the ones from yesterday. When Caleb tried to give a witty remark the therapist walked in,also puzzled,to do his work with Caleb so he asked Holly if she could leave. Caleb noticed the therapist's face which Caleb recognized as one of his close friends from school. His best friend from school was living in Germany going to college. Now this friend of his was about 2 years older than him so he was doing his internship here. Excited by meeting his friend he subtly acknowledged him or quite bluntly. Caleb said "Marina Middle School,four years ago that guy who you heard disappeared. He had a puzzled look and then a large smile grew on his face but quickly faded away as he realized that work had to be done. Caleb and his friend were silent until he abruptly said "Logan when can I walk again". Logan replied "Today in fact,you just need to practice with those crutches" indicating to the pair right next to the bed. After possibly killing his foot,Caleb was given the green light to walk around the hospital if he was "responsible". So Caleb,being very excited left his room the second Logan left the room. He trudged his way to the lobby where he meet Holly. He asked her if she wanted to talk. Holly slowly noded and they walked away. Caleb asked her "Why did you come to see me,especially if you want me dead". Holly smirking at him replied "Because I love you" then hugging him and apparently breaking into tears. Really all Holly was doing was conveying information to Caleb. She revealed that The Order was growing more and more into a criminal organization,also revealing that she left and was at UCLA on her own terms. Caleb's interest on the topic grew,curious on whether Omega site was really a corrupt operation. So carrying on the topic as they walked down the halls of the hospital. They revealed each other information about their separate operations. On the way back to Caleb's room,Caleb asked Holly if she would want to stay with him at his apartment. When he and Holly reached the room the doctor notified that Caleb's discharge papers were ready and that once everything was signed he would be able to leave the hospital,so tediously signing all the papers and paying the bills and then signing the reimbursement papers.

Calebs apartment

Holly drove Caleb home in her car as the Porsche was undergoing repairs. She agreed to stay with him for the summer but once classes started she would have to leave and stay at the college because of the financial commitment. Happy to be staying with her boyfriend for 2 months, Holly rushed home to get essentials which was pretty much everything she could fit in boxes to take back so Caleb grabbed his laptop and googled the names of the council members that appeared on the Government Report file. Caleb found a couple of jpegs of the council members. While searching the deeper part of the google search he found an prerecorded news coverage of some of the members escape from. Caleb noted the date which was June 26th , 2002. As he watched the clip he noticed the word "escaped" being thrown around a lot. This got him thinking. What if The Order isn't corrupt,what if Omega Site was keeping prisoners and hostages? This case would need a lot of time to get a warrant for.
