Fireball’s POV
“Well, where’s Radio?” Waterball asked, looking around franticly. I sighed, rubbing my temple. “Don’t worry, Waterball. We don’t know what is in the houses he’s in; he might just be talking to someone, explaining why he’s there.” I said, looking at my elder sister. I tightened my bandages around my body, wait impatiently. Who am I kidding? I don’t even believe that… I though, sighing in worry.
“Do you guys want to go back and get him?” Artie suggested, looking at the buildings. I nodded my head, but I was the only one. “Ugh, screw you guys! He might be in trouble, and you guys don’t even care!” I shouted in rage, getting up and standing straight. “Fireball, sit down. He’ll be fine. BoneSnapper said, looking at me with his glowing emerald green eyes. “No! You guys don’t know if he’ll be fine! You guys don’t know anything!” I spat, “We’ve been here for an hour! It shouldn’t take someone so long to do parkour!” I snarled, flexing my claws.
Everyone looked at me, their eyes wide at my outburst. “I’m done! I’m sick of you guys always thinking you’re right! You guys are wrong; he can’t fight everything you know!” I shouted, jumping onto a window’s ledge. I broke it, jumping into the house. I jumped through house after house after house. Where could he be!? I growled at myself. This wasn’t right, there’s no way he could have taken this long.
One room caught my interest. It was pitch black; nothing could be seen in it. I looked at it cautiously, feeling around in the darkness of the room. I thought my glowing flames would give off some sort of light source. I grunted, tripping over a table or something. I looked at what I think is my knee. “Radio, danggit.” I growled under my breath, feeling a liquid from what I think is a wound.
I look up; trying to get just a hint of what type of room I’m in. “Better not be a used bathroom…” I whispered under my breath to myself. I heard breathing behind me, my ears perking up in shock. I growled, turning around on all fours, claws extended. I curled my lips back in a snarl, narrowing my eyes.
Nothing…
I grunted, turning back around, tending to my wounds. My jagged claws gripped what I thought was a wooden floor as something ripped at my bandage. I cried out as sharp and curved claws ripped through the already broken flesh of my side. I fell to the ground, panting slightly. I managed to let out a low growl, forcing myself back to my paws.
My fur bristled as I attempted to look around the dark room for any sign of attacker. I hissed and growled, looking for the creature that ripped through my bandages. I collapsed, sighing and taking deep breaths. My ribs had been the reason I was wearing that bandage, and now it was no longer on my body.
Active’s POV
A new body…I would need this, just until I can get a better one. I could at least change the colors. This body could be perfect to live in though, but one part of Radio just won’t let go… If only I could take over the psychological matter of sanity in the brain of him. It would be a lot of work, but it should be worth it, never seeing that cat’s dreaded smile ever again. Never to hear the same laugh.
I smiled, looking around my new body. I could stop glowing? Well, I didn’t know this… It should come in handy. I looked at my tail and in the mirror, Blood red pupils and black eyes. Well…I don’t think I can get rid of this part. That could be a problem for getting people to trust me. I grinned, looking at my reflection. My ears were torn, and my eyes had nothing but death in them.
Wait…Is that an intruder? I look around the room, seeing a red figure. It wore a dirty light grey coat and blue jeans, torn. I noticed a number of wounds on the being, smirking. I raised an eyebrow, wondering what I could do. I looked at it once more, getting on all fours and stepping closer. I prowled in the darkness, a smile on my face.
My cold and lifeless breath hit the rodent’s fur, making in turn. I jumped into the darkness, making sure it had almost no sign I was ever there. I chuckled lightly, narrowing my eyes. I crept up behind them, ripping at their bandage and wounds. I laughed as they screamed; hearing another’s cries of pain always brought me joy…
Sadly I couldn’t kill the person, but I would show them what for. I quickly realized why they had the bandage as soon as I hit bone. My ears perked up, and my eyes widened, backing away. What in god’s name had this rodent been through to cause that? I narrowed my eyes, observing the other being.
