My World

Cami's POV:

Even though most people's worlds consist of nails, hair, makeup, dresses, who can be the biggest hoe, boyfriends, sex and just the average hormonal teenager, mine actually consists of my little brother.

When I was 11 my dad got into a car accident and died immediately. There was no saving him.

7 months after that, when I was 12, my step mom went to jail because she hunted down the person that caused the car crash and shot them in the hand. They called the cops and obviously got 20 years in prison for attemptive murder. She's only been in for 6 years.

Me and my little brother Noah was forced to live with my mom. My mom has an alcohol issue. She has a DUI and was put on a warning because she's never done anything wrong in the past. She went into a deep depression when she and my dad got divorced.

So my life is my little brother. My mom has a huge income from my dad dying. He never changed his will when they got divorced so he left everything in her hands. We r millionaires yet we live in a crappy house and don't have nice clothes. Sometimes I take her credit card to get what we need because she doesn't do anything except buy more alcohol so I do shopping for clothes, and food and other stuff.

I'm pretty much the mom of our house. I take care Noah and make sure he's good for everything. He's 7 almost 8 and I'm 17 almost 18. Our birthdays are 2 days apart yet we are 10 years apart. My mom was 20 weeks pregnant with Noah when my parents got divorced.

Anyway, my day is pretty much: wake up, wake Noah up, get dressed, put breakfast together for me and Noah, and drive Noah to school and me arrive at school and go through 8 hours of hell before I get to see Noah again after school. We go do something like get ice cream, or go to the arcade or something to brighten his day.

We live in California in a small city called Lourey. I am a senior at Lourey High School. Noah is a 2nd grader at Lourey Elementary.

I'm going to Lourey Community College either next year or the following year. I might take a year off to take care of Noah.

But my life is about to change....completely...
