Anna's POV:

I sit in the hallway, too dumbstruck to move.  Lisa didn't say she loved me.  She hung up without even saying goodbye.

"Um, are you okay?"  I hear a voice next to me ask.

I look up to find a girl from the class I'm supposed to be in offering me a hand.  She has on pink jeans with a white shirt.  Her hair is blue and in tied into two pigtails with pink ribbon.  She smiles and I take her hand, letting her help me up.

"I'm Marinette," she says.  "You must be the new girl, am I right?"

I nod, noticing how blue her eyes are.  "I-I'm Anna..."

"Well, come on, Anna.  You've got to come to class sooner or later," she says, giggling a little.  I can only smile, seeing how adorable this girl is, and decide to trust her.  Marinette.  What a pretty name, I think to myself.  Almost like how pretty she seems to be.

I mentally kick myself.  I can not be falling for another girl.  Not even noticing how cute they look.  My heart belongs to Lisa.

I follow the blue-haired girl into the classroom.

The teacher glances our way before rolling her eyes, scribbling something on a small piece of paper.  "Finally you came back, Marinette.  How long does it take for you to-"

She looks at me and smiles suddenly, standing up.  "Oh, you must be Ms. Skye!"

I feel the heat rush to my cheeks as a low chatter fills the room.  I look down and mumble, "Actually, you can just call me Anna..."

Two girls sitting in the front row snicker, and I feel my cheeks getting even warmer.

Marinette crosses her arms in front of me, glaring at the two girls.  "Can Anna sit with Alya and I?"

The teacher ponders this for a second, then nods.  "Sure, why not?"

Marinette motions for me to follow her, so I do.  I don't even make it up to the second row before one of those girls trips me.  I watch in slow motion as the ground nears my face, but I manage to catch myself. My bag on the other hand hits the ground, all of its contents spilling onto the floor.

The two girls laugh loudly, and the one with blonde hair says, "Oh, look!  Seems like the new girl is a clutz!"  The rest of the class joins in on the laughing while Marinette, her friend, and a boy with blonde hair begin picking up my stuff.

Unable to take the embarrassment any longer, I stand up and run out of the room.  I keep running, out of the school, further and further, until I find myself sitting on a bench with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

Hot tears stream down my face, and I lift up my camera to take some pictures so I can get my mind off of everything that just happened.

After I take about 20 or so pictures,  I let my camera fall back to its position around my neck.

"Why am I such a screw-up?" I ask myself aloud.  "Everyone is so tired of me, and I can't even seem to stand up for myself..."  I sigh, more tears pouring down my face.  "I just wish I could stand up for myself..."

"But now you can," I hear a deep voice say.  It seemed to be coming from nowhere, but everywhere at the same time.  "Anna, your new name is TakeOver, and I now give you the power of every villain I've ever created..."
