It's was an average day in Thornwood High. Quiet, yet girls gossiping

around every corner, the fall breeze blowing the golden and bronze colored

leaves through the chilled air, occasional cars passing by, guys skating the

campus like there was nothing better to do, which, I admit, I do some days.

And I had been just sitting under my shaded Aspen where I always lay

when I'm rather bored, when I heard Rose, Caroline, and Delilah, drooling

over this new student. "New student" is not really a term we use often here

but, just because it's still only two months into school....basically, what I'm

saying is everyone at this school, well..knows everybody. Everyone from

the previous year always attends the next grade.Thornwood being voted

the best school in the southern California districts might have something to

do with it.. So, realistically, the "new student" is probably just an old

wallflower, like myself. They said that he was rather different but,

handsome, which is typically all they care about. Now, I don't judge but, I had an odd feeling about this guy and was thinking about how even Rose

already knew this much about him as she droned on and on about this boy.

So, I eventually got sick of it and stood, walking away from the now growing

crowd of people either gossipers or, simply people with too much interest

for their own good.

I was fairly distracted by the shouts of the small crowd

when I felt myself walk into something solid and cold. "Ugh..Trees..." I

muttered as I bent downward to pick up my scattered books as the "tree"

spoke.

"Here, Allow me." He swiftly swiped the books of the grass in one motion,

handing them to me.

"Thanks.." I offered as I smiled and looked at him.

"No problem." He grinned as he returned my gaze. I felt my face burn at his

dazzling smile. "I'm Aeir," he added "I was wondering if you'd happen to

know where...." He trailed off as he looked at his wrinklefree schedule.

"Oh..." He muttered to himself as he located the class name. "Where the

Language arts second class is held?"

"Yes, I believe if you go towards the le......" I was cut off, quite rudely, by

Roses obnoxious laugh as she walked towards Aeir, blissful and

prestigious as usual. Although, unlike most guys, he wasn't completely

encaptured and drooling as soon as he turned his gaze to meet hers.....He

actually seemed somewhat..bothered by her intrusion.

"Oh, hey!" She sang as she looked at him with a flattering look. "I'm Rose."

She smiled and continued. "You must be new, huh?"

"Uh..Yeah...?" He smiled slightly as Rose continued to introduce herself.
